Administrative Assistant as part of the Beryllium Verification Team
I started as Administrative Assistant to Frances Alston with the Beryllium Team
and when Frances was called back to her company I was assigned to Bryan Coles.
My duties include maintaining the location and activities of the six Industrial
Hygienists who have been hired to verify the Be Clean status of many of the Hanf
ord sites. I take minutes for Mr. Coles meetings; work with the accountability
of the sampling that has been performed, those yet to be done and that all the s
ampling plans are completed. I facilitated the move of the BVT from the Fermi B
uilding to the WTC on Terminal Drive, working with the various entities necessar
y to complete the move for all.

Office Manager
As Dr. Naeem Chavla was opening his first solo practice, he needed all aspects o
f the business to be originated. I obtained insurance contracts, business licen
ses, equipment and business contracts in the community. We interviewed staff an
d hired a full contingent of personnel with training and office set-up. Dr. Cha
vla wanted to start the practice using Electronic Medical Records, so we correla
ted the Practice Management Software and the EMR software to use two servers, pu
rchase and network all computers, printers, scanners and faxes. We managed adve
rtising, networking with the three local hospitals Records Departments for onlin
e diagnostics and ran the office which included bringing in expert trainers and
equipment for specialty procedures. During this time, I represented the office
with Dr. Chavla at the American Urological Association Conference in San Francis
co, CA in May 2010 and at the Washington State Urological Association Managers m
eeting in June 2010 in Leavenworth WA.

with a mental health agency whose funds were a mixture of county, state and fede

taff.

ollections using ICD-9, HCPCS and CPT codes, scheduling, resolving Workers Compe
nsation claims, and serving as Compliance Officer. I was instrumental in the pu
