Civil Affairs Specialist: Iraq; 2004
In 2004 I deployed with 416th Civil Affairs (CA) Battalion to Mosul, Iraq as a C
ivil Affairs Specialist. During the deployment I worked in the C-9 cell, where m
y duties consisted of compiling all the Civil Military Operation (CMO) informati
on of the Area of Operation (AO) into one report for the battle space commander.

Loss Prevention Specialist, Old Navy Corporation; Oklahoma/ Kansas Area - 2005-2

As a Loss Prevention Agent my primary responsibility was to apply safety policie
s to all store associates and customers; assist store personnel with any safety
issues i.e. confrontations and shoplifter apprehensions; and recover assets and/
or make safe apprehensions when theft has clearly been established. I was also r
esponsible for the timely training of all new hires on loss prevention policies
and procedures.
Asset Protection Agent, Target Corporation: Kansas City, KS; 2006-2007
As an Asset Protection Agent for Target my role was to ensure the protection of
Target team members, physical assets and corporate facilities; Analyze theft and
fraud trends to develop and implement business solutions. Duties also included
educating team members on safety procedures and ways to reduce operational short
age, theft and fraud.
Civil Affairs CAPOC Instructor; 2007-2009
While assigned to 1st Training Brigade Civil Affairs Psychological Operations Co
mmand (CAPOC) as an Instructor. My duties consisted of insuring that all instruc
tion given was in accordance with Army Regulation and in addition ensuring that
all Trainees could perform to Army Standards. My committee was responsible for r
unning all ranges and weapons systems available to the CAPOC community to includ
e Convoy live fire, Detainee Operations, Medical Evacuation Operations, Advance
d Combat Pistol and Transition Fire. Other duties included instructing 100's of
soldiers in Civil Affairs reclassification and Civil Affairs Basic Non Commissio
ned Officers Course (BNCOC).
Civil Affairs Team Sergeant: Afghanistan; 2010
In 2010 I deployed to Parwan Province and Uruzgon Province, Afghanistan with a P
rovincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) as a Civil Affairs District Engagement Team
(DET) Non Commissioned Officer in charge (NCOIC). I was the head Civil Affairs O
perator on his DET in the Chora AO. I conducted over 100 miles in foot patrols t
o various key locations threw out tough terrain in the AO. I planned and execute
d over 30 missions as DET Mission commander. Coordinated and lead multiple key l
eader and community engagement missions, facilitated the continuity of PRT opera
tions through out DFAT (Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade) and
AUSAID transitions. Through multiple engagements I helped in advising and couns
eling different key leaders and key organizations such as the District Chief and
Mayor. While in Parwan I acted as Commanders Emergency Relief Program (CERP) Pr
oject Payment Officer (PPO); monitoring project funds and progress. I also consu
lted with multiple contractors concerning potential and on going projects along
with Statements of Work (SOW).
