3 Alignments and Adjustments

This section describes to adjust LCD TV after replacing EEPROM, Main PBA or Panel.

3-1 Program Upgrade

Change MICOM
: If the similer happenings occur, EEPROM can be changed

-. EX1) When screen appears but remote control and function key aren't working
-. EX2) When LED is on but the screen doesn't appear
-. EX3) After mass production, when the micom program version is up-graded

* MICOM replacement can be done when Service Bulletin issue is in practice.

The process of working need to be prepare on Service Bulletin.

As the visual sample shown, after disassembling the set (refer to SET disassemble), remove the Micom in the exist
IC706 Socket and replace new Micom.
- Use appropriate JIG or any sharp tool and place in the both corners to assist in removing.
(Be aware! If the socket cause any damage after replacement the monitor will not function properly.)
- When inserting, attend to IC No.1 direction and press with suitable amount of strength.
- After replacement, in case of EEPROM Clear, enter to Factory mode and perform into action.

3-2 EDID input method

SAMSUNG LCD TV support the DDC control JIG.
You can see the connection between PC and LCD TV.

3-2-1 EDID input method (Dos Program)

1. execute "DDC21.exe"
2. Click "LOAD FILE"
3. Input the File Name
- "GBR-19HMA1-1.ddc"
- "GBR-19HMD1-1.ddc"

4. Click "WRITE EEPROM"

Confirm the "OK" Sign

Error Massage
: Check the Signal Cable or Interface Board

3-3 EDID input method (Windows Program)

1. Execute Winddc.exe Program at PC.

2. Click the Winddc icon.
3. File open.
4. Select Port#1
5. Load DDC file File Name
Analog : GBR-19HMA1-1.ddc
Digital : GBR-19HMD1-1.ddc
6. Click Next (OK) button.

7. Select enter button (on Key-Board) After

Monitor S/N input.

8. Check "DDC OK".
