The main focus of my employment is to transition from my active duty military ca
reer and establish the core values that I have inherited within my military expe
rience. The strengths I have obtained include, but not limited to, leadership, a
strong work ethic, loyalty, pride in the work force, and the ability to work as
a team.

Health Care Specialist (68W Combat Medic)
My primary responsibility as a medic in the Army was to ensure the medical readi
ness of the soldiers under my medical supervision, which ranged from a platoon (
15-25 soldiers) to a company level (75-85 soldiers) as I progressed in rank. Whe
n deployed, I took part in over 150 combat missions and patrols where I would as
sume the responsibility of being the primary CASEVAC medic, who would be respons
ible for collecting battlefield casualties, applying life saving interventions,
and medical evacuation to a higher echelon of care. One of my secondary responsi
bilities while deployed was training the Iraqi Federal Police in basic life savi
ng techniques as well as evacuation procedures. All the above experience spanned
throughout my twelve month Iraq deployment.
When not deployed, I've worked in Troop Medical Centers as well as done rotation
s through Army hospitals assisting with outpatient and inpatient care and treatm
ent. Some of my other clinical responsibilities included interviewing patients a
nd recording their medical histories, keeping health records and clinical files
up-to-date, giving shots and medications to patients.
Aside from the medical portion of my military experience, I also learned the dis
ciplines and core values required to live a professional and active lifestyle.

Head Lifeguard / Swim Instructor
My primary responsibilities included supervising the patrons of the indoor pool
facility. I was also in supervision of 13 subordinate guards. I would ensure pro
per positioning, would manage patron complaints, and consolidated and maintained
equipment pertinent to the facility's performance. The pool was a 25 meter clim
ate controlled competitive facility with an outdoor section for toddlers. As a s
wim instructor, I instructed pre-school children as well as adults in the fundam
entals of swimming and water safety. Nightly tasks included maintenance, clean u
p, and closing.

Lifeguard
My lifeguard experience started in the summer of 2005. This is when I was eligib
le to obtain proper lifeguarding certifications, based on the states age require
ments. My main responsibilities were to ensure the public safety of the patrons
of the resort and to report inappropriate activity up to a higher command. Secon
dary responsibilities included monitoring pool chlorine and pH levels as well as
cleaning the circulating filters in both pools of the facilities. I acquired ba
sic mechanical skills dealing with the pool's main pump system.

My first position at Pine Grove resort, which was my first job, basically consis
ted of handy-man type work, which included area beautification, setting up recre
ational areas, assisting in product sales, and pool restorations and maintenance
. Simple first job.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

* Spearheaded the creation of the Iraqi Federal Police emergency medical procedu
res curriculum.
* Awarded Army Achievement Medal for my performances in a Medical Field Training
Exercise.
* Awarded the Combat Medical Badge for performing medical duties while being act
ively engaged by the enemy during my deployment.
