Data Model

GIS Database in this case as a tool of resource management systems in particular

areas at the district level need to be prepared in an integrated Sintang either in
relation to data needs and the level of detail data to be compiled in the system so
that it becomes an ongoing and routine activities. A database in this regard in the
form of GIS, and data entry require updates continuing in line with its development,
either in relation to resource management and improvement areas / development
structure and infrastructure to increase with the increasing need for resource areas.
GIS database as a tool for data collection in relation to resource management
aspects of the region is a dynamic process and will continue to grow and will not be
stopped at any time. The terms that need to be prepared for this purpose can be
achieved is among other institutional concerns, the availability of human resources,
financing, and the existence of supporting devices either hardware or software.

Tabular data will be used as a database, for each theme will be identified uniquely
fieldnya which would then be used as linkcode. This treatment is applied to all the
tabular data.

Special data or maps, after correction cartography, will then be uniquely identified
fields that will be used as linkcode. So these two types of ata (tabular data and
spatial data) will be able to relate (integrated), as shown in the picture below

A. Estimation and Identification of Sources of Data Needs

Data requirements for the construction of a Regional Database Numerical Data

and Special Data that support for regional development. Each data type has the
structure that supports the table to do integrated, so that will be able to
produce output according to the needs of application users.

Validity or accuracy of the data and the data is uptodate-an important factor
that supports the output of the application. On the basis of these data will be
used must be known to the source, and their legality.

These data consist of :

Numerical data, taken from the Census in 2010 on Village Potential Connecticut,
as well as inventory data instasional in Central Kalimantan Province, which is as
follows.

• Social Data

• Economic Data
• Cultural Data

• Data Infrastructures

• Population Data

• And Natural Resource Data.

Special Data / Map

• Basic Map (Roads, River, Beach, and administration), The source map is
taken from the digitized maps Bakosurtanal RBI.

• Thematic Map Land Use, Sources of the Ikonos image interpretation.

• Soil Thematic Map, Source maps taken from PUSLITAN (Center for Soil
Research), Bogor.

• Thematic Map of Geology, Source of map taken from the Environmental

Geology, Bandung

• Thematic Contour Map, Source taken from RBI Bakosurtanal Map

• Thematic Map of Forest Land Use / Designation of Forest Area, Source maps
taken from the Forestry Planning Agency, Ministry of Forestry.

• Thematic Map of City Facilities and Infrastructure, Resources map taken from
Bappeda.

• Thematic Map Isohyet, Source of map data were taken from Connecticut
rainfall data.

A. Existing Data Collection And Evaluation

Tabular Data

Tabular data used to support special data / map, especially in terms of

information. Thus the need for a table format of numerical data structure that
can be associated with spatial data / map. Identification of a table format from
the tabular data structure will be maintained as closely as possible according to
the source data, so that would make it easier for the renewal process (editing)
tabular data.

Unique Identification for Field or Linkcode absolutely needs to be done for all
the themes of tabular data, as shown below.

Special Data

Special data is were processed using GIS software (Geographical Information

system). For each object in the special data will be identified and made Unique
Field / Linkcode, so that can be integrated between special data / map with
numerical data / tables, as shown in Figure 4.4. below.

Remote Sensing Data

Remote Sensing data are extremely helpful when combined with GIS from other
data sources, or images with different time and different spectrum presented
together. So that some sources of map data using the interpretation of Ikonos
imagery.

Data Automation
Tabular Data

Tabular data are used to build a database system must be considered table
structure of the data. Because of this structure is the table that will determine
the integration of a numerical data special data.

Special Data

Several steps need to be done for cartographic treatment can produce special
data / map that will be used as a database, so database can be used on an
ongoing basis and can be used as the basis for the overlay of thematic maps in
accordance with the needs of application users.
Some steps / methods being undertaken to generate special data to be used as
a database in accordance with the scheme below.

Stage of implementation of the automation of special data is a series of activities

ranging from data entry process analog (map manually) to produce output in the
form of digital map stored in a structured and systematic. The flow of activities as in
the above scheme.

 Review the reference;

This needs to be done to maintain the validity of the data to be used, as in

the previous section discussion.

 Convert Projection;

This is done for spatial data generated are in the correct position and in
accordance with the location of the territory of Indonesia. So that the
resulting map can be a foundation for overlay with other thematic maps.

 digitization;

The process of digitizing maps made with reference to the standard

instructions from Bakosurtanal cartographic rules, with steps such as the
following description:

• Point Tie

Tie point (tic), located at the intersection of latitude and longitude

at each corner of the map sheet is concerned, and if found outside
the coverage maps (inzet), digitized performed as a separate
sheet, tied points awarded on every corner inzet. In general, tie
points are given if the connecting lines drawn, will form a regular
rectangular (square or rectangular).

• digitization appearance

Appearance on the Map of Indonesia's Earth Arts is digitized

shoreline layer and double river, road network, rivers, and
annotation (toponymy). All digitized appearance with the
provisions as contained in the Directive Raw Digital Data
Compilation Bakosurtanal, including condification.

• Editing cartography;

That have been digitized data must be edited first for cartographic
errors during data entry can be repaired. The process of editing
this data including error correction points, lines, and polygons.
Associated attribute data must also be repaired. The connection
between the sides (edgematching) carried out on a map that has
a sheet side by side, either right, left, top, or on it. This process is
done to maintain continuity of data, so that the digitized
appearance did not experience a disconnect.

 Identification Table Structure;

In order for the map can be connected with numerical data, it is necessary to
identify a Linkcode which will be unique fields in the table accompanying the
special data / map.
Identification is expected to be a unique identity for each object.

 inputing Linkcode

Importation of the contents of Linkcode absolutely must be done for every

objects in special data / map, so that special data / map could be integrated
