I have been involved in the sales and marketing of various roofing products for
over 35 years. I
am seeking an opportunity to use my considerable experience and contacts to incr
ease business
and expand market share for a dynamic and growing company.
Experience
1971 to 1979
Polymer Building Systems
Riverside, CA
Sales Representative
? Was responsible to market and sell urethane based roof insulation products we
manufactured. Company was a family owned small business and we introduced and
sold our products to a wide base of roofing and building material distributors
throughout the Western United States.
1979 to 1985
California Tile
Rialto, CA
Arizona Area Sales Manager
? Was hired to introduce a concrete roof tile product line shipped from Californ
ia into
the Arizona market. We competed against several local producers yet gained
considerable market share to justify building our own manufacturing facility. W
as
promoted to vice president. California Tile was ultimately purchased by Boral, a
multinational conglomerate based in Australia.
1985 to 1987
Pacific Coast Building Products
Sacramento, CA
Regional Manager South San Francisco Bay Area
? Took an opportunity to regionally manage five distribution locations in the Sa
n
Francisco Bay area. While there we helped sharpen the operations, introduced
computer based business systems (inventory control, invoicing and intercompany
communications, etc), and built greater customer relations while increasing sale
s. Was
very happy here but ultimately I responded to the plea of the family to return t
o the
family business.
1987 to 1989
Polymer Building Systems
Riverside, CA
General Manager
? Called back to this business at the urging of my father to assist him in ready
ing this
company for its impending sale. This was ultimately accomplished.
1966 to 1969
Whittier College
Whittier, CA
