CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT :
1 The tenderer is required to inspect the site and obtain for himself on his own responsibilty and at his own
expense all necessary information and particulars to enable him to submit a proper tender and make himself
thoroughly acquainted with the local site condition , nature and requirements of work and facilities of
transport,effective labour and materials,accesss and storage for materials and removal of rubbish.

2 The tenderer shall provide in their tender for cost of carriage,freight and other charges for proper execution of
work as indicated in the drawings.

3 The work includes cost of fitting and fixing the several items in position to floors,walls,ceilings etc.,in the
building in accordance with the drawings or as may be directed and it may be necessary to make
holes,chases etc., on floors,wall ceilings etc., as may be required. He must not only note of these provisions
but must also allow for such as he may be required to do at the time work is taken by him and it will be
deemed that his rates take into account all forceable contingencies which will include rectifying disturbed
floors,walls,ceiling to their original condition.

4 The qouted prices must be firm for the entire period of currency of the contract from the quoting since no price
variation or esclation shall be permitted on any account whatsoever.

5 The dimensions shown in the drawings must be vereified by the contractor at the site before he takes up
actual manufacture of the several items,making allowances for the actual dimensions that prevail at site.

6 The work will be done strictly in accordance with the drawings and detailing or specificatons given by the
architect.

7 Laminate,plywood,prelaminated board,aluminium etc.,shall be of good company,approved quality and as per

specification mentioned.Laminate sheet colour and all materials shall be produced for inspection and only
after obtaining approval from the architect the work should be commenced.

8 Tenderer is advised to read the enclosed list of approved make of materials and offer brand name in the
specified space.Make/Brand name on all items should be specified by the tenderer while submitting the
tender.All the materials and specifications mentioned in the tender should be used without any deviation.

9 Conditional tenders or alternate proposals shall not be entertained unless prior approval in writing has been
obtained.No notification,writings or deviations can be made in the tenders by the tenderer,but may at his
option offer his commands or modifications in a separate sheet of paper attached to the original tender

10 The tenderer should note the tender is strictly on the item rate basis and their attention is drawn to the fact
that rates for each item should be correct,workable and self -supporting.If called upon by the Bank/Architect
detailed analysis of any or all the rates shall be submitted.The Bank/Architect shall not be bound to recognise
the contractor's rate.

11 Rate should include for providing necessary cut-outs,holes for electrical conduits,switch boxes,plug points in
work stations,partitions,tables,etc.,wherever necessary and along with the co-ordination of other
agencies.The rate also should include to provide additional wooden members adjacent to the switch
box,conduits etc., in order to support the switch box conduits.
12 EARNEST MONEY DEPOSIT & RETENTION AMOUNT :
The tenderer will have to deposit an amount of 2% of the tendered amount in the form of DD in favour of
UNION BANK OF INDIA ,REGIONAL OFFICE at the time of submission of tender as EMD. The employer is
not liable to pay any interest on the earnest money. The Earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful tenderers
will be refunded without any interest soon after the decision to award the work is taken or after the expiry of
the validity period of the tender.Apart from EMD made as above, retention money 5% of the total contract
amount will be kept till defects liability period.

13 CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE EVERYTHING NECESSARY :

The contractor shall provide everything necessary for the proper execution of work according to the intent and
meaning of drawings, schedule of the drawings, schedule of quantities and specifications taken together
whether the same may or may not be particularly shown or described therein provided that the same can
reasonably be inferred therefrom and if the contractor find any discrepancies therein he shall be final and
binding.

14 PROGRESS REPORT :
During the period of work the contractor shall maintain proportionate progress on basis of a programme chart
subimitted by the contractor immediately before the commencement of work and agreed to by the
Bank/Architect. The contractor shall report to the Architect of the progress of the work at every stages.

15 REMOVAL OF IMPROPER WORK :

The Bank shall during the progress of the work have power to order in writing from time to time the removal
from the work within such reasonable time or time as may be specified in the order of any materials which in
the opinion of the Bank/Architect are not in accordance with specifica-tion or instructions, the substition or
proper re-execution of any work executed with materials or workmanship not in accordance with the drawings
and specifications or instructions. In case the contractor refuses to comply and pay other agencies to carry
out the work and all expenses consequent thereon or incidental thereon as certified by the Bank/Architect
shall be borne by the contractor or may be deducted from any money due to the contractor. No certificate
which may be given by the Architects shall relieve the contractor from his liability in respect of unsound work
or low graded materials.

16 SITE ENGINEER :
The contractor shall afford the Site engineer deputed, every facility and assistance for examining the works
and materials and for checking and measuring work and materials. The Site engineer shall have no power to
revoke, alter or relax any requirements of the contractor or to sanction any day work, additions, alterations,
deviations or ommisions or any extra work whatsoever, except so far as such authority may be specially
conferred by the Bank/Architect.

The Site engineer will have power to give notice to the contractor or to his workers,of non-approval of any
work or materials and which shall be immediately notified to the Bank/Architect. Such work shall be
suspended or the use of such materials shall be discontinued untill the approval from the Bank/Architect. The
work will be from time to time be examined by the Bank/Architect. But such examination shall not in any way
exonerate the contractor from the obligation to remedy any defects which may be found to exist any stages of
work or after the same is completed.
OUTLINE CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT

Earnest Money Deposit : 2% of the tendered amount

Defects liability period : Twelve months

Date of commencement : 3 days from the date of award of work

Date of completion : 20 days

Period Final Measurement : One week from the date of completion

Liquidated damages : 1% per week

Retention Amount : 5% of the total value

Period of honouring certificates : 15 days

The counter is finished with 1mm laminate sheet
(approved shade) with teak wood beadings of size

The customer ledge is to be provided above the
counter with 19 mm granite top (Jet black) of width
10" throughout the counter length at a height of 12".
The front length of the counter to be fixed with 12mm
glass with etching design.

2 SIDE UNIT:- 2 nos

Side unit for banking counter of size 2'3"x1'6"x2'6"
made of 18mm thick plywood structure to be done as
per drawing for keeping printer and pull out doors for
storage, finished with lamination and edges finished
with teakwood lipping.
3 CASH COUNTER :- 6 rft
Size : 6'0"x2'6"x3'6"
Cash counter to be done using 18 mm plywood with
1mm laminate sheet of approved colour and inside is
neatly painted. The cash drawers 3 nos are to be
provided with denomination partitions and
painted.The customer top is provided with granite top
at 3'6"ht of 1'6"width & finished in the same manner .
4 CASH CABIN PARTITION : - 120 sft
Providing and fixing in position of 2"x2" aluminium
section both sides covered with 8mm thk. plywood
and finished with 1mm thk. lamination of approved
make and colour. Up to 3'6"ht. from floor level for the
sides. Aluminium grill to be fixed for sides, up to 7'ht.
rear and side partition of cash cabin size is
(6'0"x7'0"). Providing 2'6" wide door at the back side
with godrej night latch and everite door closer. Front
side fixed with 12mm thk. glass panel with frosted
design & cash transaction opening to be provided.
Cheque slip tray to be provided on the side of cash
cabin near cash officer counter.
5 MANAGER CABIN PARTITION:-
a) Partly glazed partition: 82 sft
Supplying and fixing of partly glazed partition, using
aluminium section of size 2"x2" frame work having
2'x2' sq. grid, both sides covered with 8 mm plywood
of approved make and finished with 1mm thk.
lamination sheet of approved make and colour.
Partition frame work to be fixed properly to the roof
slab 8mm thk. Glass with etching design to be fixed
with teakwood beadings with melamine polished for
Manager Cabin on south side. All teak wood portion
to be melamine polished. Glazed doors to be
provided as per design with door closer and locks of
approved make and colour.
b) Full glass partition : 95 sft
Manager cabin on east side to be fixed with 12mm
full glass partition as per dwg and specification.
6 STRONG ROOM AND REAR PARTITION (NON 190 sft
GLAZED):-
Supplying and fixing of 7'0" ht. for strong room and
upto ceiling ht for rear partition, using aluminium
section of size 2"x2" frame work having 2'x2' sq. grid,
both sides covered with 8 mm marine plywood of
approved make and finished with 1mm thk.
lamination sheet of approved make and colour with
doors as per drawing including the cost of door
closer, locks, etc., teak wood frames to be used for
door frames/ shutters and finished with melamine
polish etc., complete.
7 GLAZED PARTITION WITH ENTRANCE DOOR:- 70 sft
Supplying and fixing of 12mm thk. toughened glass
partition from floor level to 7'0"ht. by providing teak
wood frame work alround with melamine polish of
approved shade & colour for entrance door. Stainless
steel (1'ht.) handles to be fixed on both sides and
floor spring to be provided for the door of approved
make.
8 OFFICERS PARTITION :- 23 sft
Officers' partition to be done at 4'0" ht using 3"x2"
wooden frames with both side 8mm ply finished with
matching laminate upto 3' height & 4' ht and balance
1' with 12 mm glass with etching design and in front
side with flower trough.The top to be provided with 3"
wide teak wood/ Beach wood trimmers.
9 FALSE CEILING :- 840 sft
Supply and erection of gypboard false ceiling for
entire banking area at two levels with framework of
G.I. Section of spacing 4'0"x2'0" above with 12mm
gypboard fixing. Stepped ceiling is to be done as per
architects instruction to have provision for indirect
lighting Rate is included for cutouts for lights, smoke
detectors and AC grills. The ceiling is putty finished
and sanded to form clean and homogeneous surface.
Rate is included for two coats of acrylic emulsion
painting.
10 WRITING LEDGE / CHELLAN HOLDER :- 1 LS
Fabricating and fixing of writing ledge and chellan
holder of size 4'0"x1'0" made of 12mm thk. glass
supported with 18mm marine plywood stand finished
with duco automotive paint so as to match the colour
of the interiors. Glass edges beveled to half round
shape suitably supported on plywood as per design.
The work has to be completed as per architects
direction.
11 WICKET GATE :- 1 no
Wicket door and partition made 2"x2" wooden frame
covered with 6mm plywood on both sides finished
with same lamination,edges are finished with teak
wood beadings neatly painted.
12 MANAGER'S TABLE WITH SIDE TABLE: - 1 no
Manager's table of size (6'0"x2'6"x2'6"ht.) made of
18mm, 12mm & 6mm thk. good quality
plywood/nuwud for the leg support portion, writing
portion, drawer portion and other required portions.
All exposed portions are finished with 1mm thk.
lamination sheet of approved make (Merino/ Green
lam/ Formica) & colour as per the consultant
instructions. White cedar wood beading to be
provided alround the table top with melamine polish
.Provision to be made for computer keyboard
placement, three drawers are to be provided on one
side of the table with sliding guide and set locks side
table of size 3'0"Lx1'6"Wx2'3"ht. to be provided at
other side of the table as per the drawing with drawer
at top portion with sliding guide and lock.openable
cupboard to be provided at the bottom portion of the
side table. Set lock to be fixed (one key for 3 lock
system) 2"x2" foot rest at the bottom of the table to
be provided. All exposed portions are finished with
1mm thk. lamination sheet of approved make &
colour. Drawer and cupboard inner portions are
finished with lacquer finish.
13 CHEQUE DROP/SUGGESSION BOX:- 2 nos
Made of 12mm & 4mm thk plywood for base and for
the top cover, edges covered with 18mm x 18mm
teak wood beading of 12mm marine plywood to the
size of 150mmx230mm fixed with 2nos of quality
make 50mm brass hinges. Inside portion painted
with one coat of primer and two coats of enamel paint
and outside finished with lamination of approved
color. Note: The cheque dropping box is to be fixed
to the wall using screws.
14 NOTICE BOARD:- 1 no
Fabrication and fixing of notice board as per drawing
made of teak wood frame work alround filled with soft
board and covered with fur. The colour of the fur to
be matched with the décor. The outer frame of the
notice board is to be finished with melamine polish.

CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT :
1 The tenderer is required to inspect the site and obtain for himself on his own responsibilty and at his own
expense all necessary information and particulars to enable him to submit a proper tender and make himself
thoroughly acquainted with the local site condition , nature and requirements of work and facilities of
transport,effective labour and materials,accesss and storage for materials and removal of rubbish.

2 The tenderer shall provide in their tender for cost of carriage,freight and other charges for proper execution
of work as indicated in the drawings.

3 The work includes cost of fitting and fixing the several items in position to floors,walls,ceilings etc.,in the
building in accordance with the drawings or as may be directed and it may be necessary to make
holes,chases etc., on floors,wall ceilings etc., as may be required. He must not only note of these provisions
but must also allow for such as he may be required to do at the time work is taken by him and it will be
deemed that his rates take into account all forceable contingencies which will include rectifying disturbed
floors,walls,ceiling to their original condition.

4 The qouted prices must be firm for the entire period of currency of the contract from the quoting since no
price variation or esclation shall be permitted on any account whatsoever.

5 The dimensions shown in the drawings must be vereified by the contractor at the site before he takes up
actual manufacture of the several items,making allowances for the actual dimensions that prevail at site.

6 The work will be done strictly in accordance with the drawings and detailing or specificatons given by the

7 Laminate,plywood,prelaminated board,aluminium etc.,shall be of good company,approved quality and as per

specification mentioned.Laminate sheet colour and all materials shall be produced for inspection and only
after obtaining approval from the architect the work should be commenced.

8 Tenderer is advised to read the enclosed list of approved make of materials and offer brand name in the
specified space.Make/Brand name on all items should be specified by the tenderer while submitting the
tender.All the materials and specifications mentioned in the tender should be used without any deviation.

9 Conditional tenders or alternate proposals shall not be entertained unless prior approval in writing has been
obtained.No notification,writings or deviations can be made in the tenders by the tenderer,but may at his
option offer his commands or modifications in a separate sheet of paper attached to the original tender
document.

10 The tenderer should note the tender is strictly on the item rate basis and their attention is drawn to the fact
that rates for each item should be correct,workable and self -supporting.If called upon by the Bank/Architect
detailed analysis of any or all the rates shall be submitted.The Bank/Architect shall not be bound to
recognise the contractor's rate.

11 Rate should include for providing necessary cut-outs,holes for electrical conduits,switch boxes,plug points in
work stations,partitions,tables,etc.,wherever necessary and along with the co-ordination of other
agencies.The rate also should include to provide additional wooden members adjacent to the switch
box,conduits etc., in order to support the switch box conduits.
12 EARNEST MONEY DEPOSIT & RETENTION AMOUNT :
The tenderer will have to deposit an amount of 2% of the tendered amount in the form of DD in favour of
UNION BANK OF INDIA ,REGIONAL OFFICE at the time of submission of tender as EMD. The employer
is not liable to pay any interest on the earnest money. The Earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful
tenderers will be refunded without any interest soon after the decision to award the work is taken or after the
expiry of the validity period of the tender.Apart from EMD made as above, retention money 5% of the total
contract amount will be kept till defects liability period

13 CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE EVERYTHING NECESSARY :

The contractor shall provide everything necessary for the proper execution of work according to the intent
and meaning of drawings, schedule of the drawings, schedule of quantities and specifications taken together
whether the same may or may not be particularly shown or described therein provided that the same can
reasonably be inferred therefrom and if the contractor find any discrepancies therein he shall be final and
binding.

14 PROGRESS REPORT :
During the period of work the contractor shall maintain proportionate progress on basis of a programme
chart subimitted by the contractor immediately before the commencement of work and agreed to by the
Bank/Architect. The contractor shall report to the Architect of the progress of the work at every stages.

15 REMOVAL OF IMPROPER WORK :

The Bank shall during the progress of the work have power to order in writing from time to time the removal
from the work within such reasonable time or time as may be specified in the order of any materials which in
the opinion of the Bank/Architect are not in accordance with specifica-tion or instructions, the substition or
proper re-execution of any work executed with materials or workmanship not in accordance with the
drawings and specifications or instructions. In case the contractor refuses to comply and pay other agencies
to carry out the work and all expenses consequent thereon or incidental thereon as certified by the
Bank/Architect shall be borne by the contractor or may be deducted from any money due to the contractor.
No certificate which may be given by the Architects shall relieve the contractor from his liability in respect of
unsound work or low graded materials.

16 SITE ENGINEER :
The contractor shall afford the Site engineer deputed, every facility and assistance for examining the works
and materials and for checking and measuring work and materials. The Site engineer shall have no power
to revoke, alter or relax any requirements of the contractor or to sanction any day work, additions,
alterations, deviations or ommisions or any extra work whatsoever, except so far as such authority may be
specially conferred by the Bank/Architect.

The Site engineer will have power to give notice to the contractor or to his workers,of non-approval of any
work or materials and which shall be immediately notified to the Bank/Architect. Such work shall be
suspended or the use of such materials shall be discontinued untill the approval from the Bank/Architect.
The work will be from time to time be examined by the Bank/Architect. But such examination shall not in any
way exonerate the contractor from the obligation to remedy any defects which may be found to exist any
stages of work or after the same is completed.
OUTLINE CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT
