Students who are interested in studying web design and development can take adva
ntage of two new program offerings at IADT-Detroit. In May 2011, the school adde
d two new degree programs: an Associate of Science and a Bachelor of Science in
Web Design and Development.
Detroit, MI, June 08, 2011 -- The new Web Design and Development degree programs
at IADT-Detroit www.iadt.edu/Detroit can help students learn skills in diverse
areas from designing websites and other interactive media projects to programmin
g and content management systems. The programs combine general education courses
with key concentration classes to offer well-rounded instruction in graphics, t
ext, audio, video and interactivity for the Web.
Students who study Web Design and Development at IADT-Detroit have the unique op
portunity to expand their creativity while developing a strong working knowledge
of electronic technology. These programs feature hands-on learning opportunitie
s in a supportive educational environment.
The Associate of Science in Web Design and Development degree program at IADT-De
troit features instruction in usability, interface design, scripting, open sourc
e systems, digital imaging and more. Its goal is to help students gain the knowl
edge and skills necessary to create functional, attractive and effective website
s. Through the use of industry-current techniques and tools, students have the o
pportunity to expand their technical knowledge and explore the possibilities of
website advertising and design.
The Bachelor of Science in Web Design and Development program at IADT-Detroit bu
ilds on the associateâ s degree program to help students develop knowledge in digital
imaging, usability, interface design, open source systems, website advertising
and more. The program combines conventional classroom learning with hands-on ele
ctronic training to provide a well-rounded educational experience. Students have
the opportunity to explore how graphics, text, audio, video and interactivity f
unction on the Web. Graduates of this bachelor-level program can move toward pot
ential opportunities in the Web design and development field.
