II.1) TITLE ATTRIBUTED TO THE CONTRACT BY THE CONTRACTING AUTHORITY National Information Management Programme. II.2) TYPE OF CONTRACT AND PLACE OF DELIVERY OR OF PERFORMANCE Service category: No 7 Glasgow city centre; Scotland. NUTS code UKM II.3) SHORT DESCRIPTION OF NATURE AND QUANTITY OR VALUE OF SUPPLIES OR SERVICES This Prior Information Notice is an alerting notice only, the purpose of which is to alert the market to a forthcoming tender. The National Information Management Programme (IM) is one of the most challenging and groundbreaking programmes of work undertaken by the Scottish Police Service. It has two overarching strategic objectives: 1) the development of a national model of common end to end policing processes (the business model) for the Scottish Police Service 2) the acquisition of a modern, scalable, extensible, national ICT solution that allows for the recording, management and analysis of information which aligns to the business model and, through its design and its ability to integrate with other police ICT systems, minimises data management inefficiencies. The scope of the IM procurement will primarily focus on the acquisition of a national core ICT solution with functionality necessary to support the new business model in a scalable package that permits future expansion to match future business requirements. Additionally a key feature of the ICT solution will be the capability to integrate with existing and future national police ICT systems through a flexible and agile approach that ensures business benefits are maximised and facilitates ongoing opportunities to enhance functionality and provide benefits growth. The procurement exercise may include some or all of the following: software components, software licences, specialist hardware, integration and implementation services, business change activities, data management activities and lifetime management. The authority may decide to tender via a number of Lots which, at a high level, might include: Solution; Integration and implementation; Lifetime Management. Any future procurement exercise relating to the services described in this prior information notice will be carried out in strict accordance with the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. The Contracting Authority does not commit to letting a contract for all or any part of the aforementioned services and reserves the right to divide the contract into Lots. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to amend the scope of the requirements as described in this prior information notice. It is anticipated that the Contract Notice will be published in the second quarter of this year.
