QUALIFICATIONS As a knowledgeable trainer and presenter across a variety of areas in Assistive Technology, I am comfortable giving presentations to large and small groups, both formal and informal. As a Certified Speech/Language Pathologist, background in language development helps to train new communicators in augmentative communication. Half-time employee, serving AT needs district-wide (including AT evaluations, maintaining equipment inventory, inservices/coaching, and developing on-line trainings). Team-teaching in a model integrated preschool and member of Preschool Technology Grant, aimed at integrating technology into preschools (1994 - 1999). Trainer for special project with the Arizona Department of Education, providing training to school personnel to help them meet the AT needs of their students (1997 - 2007). As a member of the Augmentative Communication Evaluation Team, provided evaluations and follow-up services at schools and homes for a variety of clients with severe communication needs. Spring, 2002 - 2006, Instructor, Northern Arizona University SELECT Program. One-credit graduate level courses, at least one per semester. Classes held in Phoenix, Prescott, Page, and Tucson.
