Tagou Shaolin Kung fu School near Dengfeng. I would like to recomend Tagou to anyone interested in coming to China to learn Kung fu. I am here now and have 4 days left of my 2 month stay here. The training is of a very high standard and the accomodation is good enough. It is much more simple now. If you do contact Linda, can you please mention my name, Bart as last time she was contacted , she wondered how they got hold of her e mail address. Tagou is the school were Paul Merton visited in his tour of China and Peter owen Jones, the vicar who did "Extreme Pilgrim" trained at. Above is the Paul Merton link to u tube So if any1 saw those programmes , it gives you an idea what to expect. But you DON'T have to do the 5a.m run as both programmes give this impression. Training for non Chinese students is 8.30 a.m to 11a.m and 3p.m to 6p.m but the training facilities are avaliable prety much all the time and the coach's are always around and i've found them only too happy to help outside of official training time. in fact they have become good friends of mine in my time here and i will miss them but i plan on returning as soon as i can. There is between 2 to 4 students per coach. I forgot to say Tagou is about 10km from Dengfeng and about 1km from the Shaolin Temple and as such there is lots tp see and do during free time The sceanery here is amazing and inspirational. 4. Accommodation standard Accommodation standard is that every two individuals use a room and every room is equipped with an independent bathroom, you can take a bath. It is also equipped with air-conditioning, television, telephone, Internet (need your own computer and pay access fees yourself) and so on living facilities. If you request for accommodation single, you need to pay another 500 yuan per month per person. All the fees must be paid for one time at the time of enrollment. If you stop studying or training, we will not give the money back to you. 5. Entrance and Graduation All foreigners, from the age six to sixty, healthy, good virtue, observe Chinese laws, can join us with your ID card or passport. A Kungfu trainee who is under 18 years old has to be here together with your parents . After you have studied all the courses and passed the cetain exam, you can get the Certificate of Training Shaolin Kungfu. 6.
