Consider a career in biology its a rapidly changing eld where new discoveries are constantly expanding our understanding of our place in the universe. CNC offers rst- and second-year university-level biology courses that prepare you for careers in the biological sciences, education and health care. Our biology students can use our courses as a springboard into pharmacy, medicine, nursing, dental hygiene, biotechnology, and many other programs. Students can also apply our courses towards the completion of a bachelors degree. Admission Youll need one of the following: Successful completion of Grade 12 (with English 12 or English 12: First Peoples) ABE/CCP Advanced Certicate GED Certicate Completion of Grade 11 with an outstanding academic record in the year of application. Tips for your successful application To ensure you select the most appropriate high school courses for your chosen career path, we strongly recommend that you consult a high school counsellor. courses you select (see course listings at the back of this calendar). The GED certicate meets CNCs general admission requirements, but does not meet specic program or course prerequisites. Students applying for admission to MATH 101, CSC 109, PHYS 101, or CHEM 111 who obtained a C+ grade or less in Principles of Math 12 (interim grade) or Math 050 will be registered in Math 100. Students attending in 2013 who intend to enrol in MATH 101, CSC 109, PHYS 101 or CHEM 111 and who obtained a C+ or less in Pre-calculus 12 (interim grade) or Math 050 will be registered in MATH 100.
