June 13th-17th, 2011, The Drug Use Continuum: A Comprehensive Exploration of Drug Use within Society, Bloomington, IN: This IAPP approved college level drug education course is being offered by IPRC, the cost to attend is $395 and CEUs are available. June 16th, 2011, Cultural Inclusion: Making Diversity Work: 10th Annual Indiana Conference on Cultural Competency for Behavioral Healthcare, Indianapolis, IN: This conference will be held from 7:30AM to 4:30PM at the Holiday Inn North at the Pyramids. This conference will focus on creating awareness on the importance of inclusion in diversity and cultural competence, creating awareness of benefits that accrue from effective cultural communication, enhancing leadership involvement in cultural competence, and improving the quality of service and health outcomes. The cost to attend this daylong conference is $95 and you can get additional information at www.imhc.org. June 22nd, 2011, Governors Commission for a Drug Free Indiana Monthly Commission Meeting, Indianapolis, IN: This monthly meeting is held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Government Center South, Conference Room 1 & 2. June 23rd, 2011, Addictions Trends and Challenges: What Can We Do, Indianapolis, IN: Valle Vista Health System Presents this training at Primos. The agenda for the day runs from 8:30AM to 4:15PM and has a variety of breakout sessions throughout the day. June 27th July 1st, 2011, Understanding Drugs in American Society, Shelbyville, IN: IAPP approved college level drug education course, Family Services and Prevention Programs, Shelbyville, 317-398-0956 or conniep@fspp.org.

July 12th 16th, 2011, Prevention of Drug Abuse Training offered by the Indiana Association of Prevention Professionals, Indianapolis, IN: This training meets one of the requirements for those seeking certification as a Certified Prevention Professional or one of the other credentials offered by IAPP. Ethics in Prevention and Cultural Competency are included in the course. Classes will be taught by staff from Central CAPT. July 22nd, 2011, Prime for Life Training, Batesville, IN: ASAP Center and Ripley County LCC is hosting this day long training to educate community members about brief interventions when working with you. This training is being held for FREE, however there will be a $20 no show fee charged a no show fee. Registration will be opening soon. July 24th-28th, 2011, CADCAs Mid-Year Training Institute, Anaheim, CA: CADCA + Coalitions= [Formula for Community Change] is the focus of this years mid-year conference. CADCAs Mid-Year is not the typical conference. Participants take part in day, 1-day and 2-day courses on everything from how to run a community anti-drug coalition to how to implement environmental strategies. August 4th, 2011, Positive Youth Development Training, Greensburg, IN: This event is from 11AM to 1PM at the Greensburg Learning Center. Decatur County CAC and the ASAP Center are sponsoring this training where participants will leave with knowledge of how the Asset Framework can improve their program and impact the youth they serve.
