A Look Back at Sundays Sermon: The Keys to the Kingdom (Acts 2:14-21) Acts 2:14-21 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?

search=Acts+2%3A14-21&version=NIV As the church continues to learn, the Holy Spirit does not see any boundaries. In Acts 2 the Holy Spirit empowered men, women, and children, different races and cultures. The appropriate response when given power from the Holy Spirit is to witness. When the power of the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you have no choice but to witness. Youre heart will speak of what it is full of. Pastor Danny says, We have learned to be baptized with the Holy Spirit and being filled with the Spirit. Now we will get into the Holy Spirit of God and his guidance towards new believers. Who is to say how you live your life? Nobody wants to be told what to do or come to a church that has a list of rules. Most people know when they are about to do something wrong. There is this little voice saying, Dont do that. Those submitted to the Holy Spirit will like a life in community with other believers and will always be full of the Holy Spirit. When you are filled with the Holy Spirit something changes, you wont want to stay silent. Every Christian should strive to be filled with the Holy Spirit. In Matthew 16:19, Jesus tells Peter that he will give him the keys to the Kingdom of heaven. From the passage ..it is easy to see that Jesus meant that Peter would have the unique opportunity and privilege to preach the gospel for the first time. Some people have taken this to be the right to be the first Pope of the church. I dont know about that, but this I know: Peter got to get his preaching on and the Lord blessed his sermon with an abundance of responses!-Pastor Danny Martinez. How did Peter prepare? Well, he tried to walk on water with Jesus and that didnt work out too well. He cut off the guards ear when they came to arrest Jesus and he ran away during Jesus trial, conviction and crucifixion. Doesnt sound like a guy who would preach a sermon that would change the hearts of 3,000 people. God uses who ever he wants to preach the Good News. People are looking for things to fulfill their lives; having the right car, house, boyfriend/girlfriend, career, or enough money. No matter how much of any of that you have it will never be enough. A relationship with God and the

Holy Spirit means your attitude changes on things. You cant get in to a spiritual relationship with God without investing time in Him. It is an individual thing but also a community one as well. On Sunday, June 19th, the church gets to be Peter to the 3,000 for the parents of WOW for the Pre-K Graduation. How does the church preach to 3,000 people? What happens if everyone comes to know God? Pastor Danny says, Most of Gods people would say, that would be wonderful and I agree. What would happen if all of the sudden GCC would have 3,000 members? First, we would need to do 10 services on Sunday. Next, how do you disciple 3,000 people? I know that some people feel that we are growing too slow but sincerely, we need to be grateful for the growth we have experienced. The church should be fellowship with new people. Check who you are having meals with, spending time with. If the people think the same way and act the same way you are limiting the Holy Spirit.
