DESCRIPTION
CARBON REMOVER is an advanced heavy duty liquid product formula specifically made to attack, penetrate and efficiently remove completely carbon, grease, oil, varnishes and other heavy deposits from diesel engine blocks, gear boxes, pistons, rings, valves, atomizers, pipes, burners, coolers etc. CARBON REMOVER has been proven to be the most effective product in its category due to its quick and complete action. This powerful action is based on a singlephase mechanism that consists of cleaning agents, aromatic solvents, corrosion inhibitors and dye. This way, the deposits are trapped and bound, resulting in complete and safe removal.

APPLICATION AND USE

A. Dosing Procedure The quantity of CARBON REMOVER to be used cannot be prescribed, since it must be used undiluted and in quantities sufficient enough to treat the problem at hand. In other words, the quantity depends on the degree of cleaning desired and the contamination level. The operator is basically the one to judge the actual quantity needed in order to accomplish a particular cleaning job. A. Cleaning Procedure The application of CARBON REMOVER is carried out using the soaking/immersion method. For this, undiluted CARBON REMOVER must be put into a steel bath, then, the parts/items for cleaning should to be immersed and soaked for between 210 hours time, depending on the degree of deposition/soiling. Afterwards, these treated parts/items must be taken out from the bath and washed thoroughly with a highpressure water supply jet system.

ADVANTAGES AND CHARACTERISTICS

Removes completely heavy carbon, grease, oil, varnish and other deposits as well as old paint, resins and lacquer coatings. Acts quickly and thoroughly. Noncorrosive to most metal surfaces and parts, except those made from softmild steel and cast iron. Very good results are achieved under ambient cleaning conditions this eliminates the need for mechanical means, requiring heat. Contains a strong corrosion inhibitor. Water insoluble but hydrophilic. Has effects on some rubber and plastic compounds. Can be combined with a specific range of products. Cost effective, easy to apply and use. During 1996, chemical tankers were only permitted to use tank cleaning agents, which had been approved and evaluated by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO). CARBON REMOVER was evaluated through IMOs Working Group on the Evaluation of Safety and Pollution Hazards of Chemicals (ESPH Working Group) and found to meet the requirements of paragraph 1.8.2 of the P&A Standards.

Avoid Eye contact. Otherwise, flush with plenty of water for a few minutes. Seek medical attention immediately. Avoid Skin contact. Otherwise, wash contaminated area thoroughly with water. Seek medical attention immediately. Do not breathe gas/vapour. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. Otherwise, seek fresh air source at once and ask for medical attention immediately. Avoid ingestion. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting: seek medical advice immediately and show the label of the product. Avoid spillage, splashing and mishandling. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection before using the product.
