Additional Information
The previous lists are just brief ideas. Additional explanations and information is here, in alphabetical order, to give you more ideas and tips. Make sure to check out the Harry Potter: Classes supplement for even more ideas.

Great Hall The great hall is the most versatile area. From receiving owl post to food to study areas, this room can house a huge amount of participants. Use this when youre planning on doing group activities such as movies, listening to audio books or overnighters.

Owl Post Create drawings or have photos of owls available. Beneath each owl, place a clothespin to attach notes, lost items, etc. Ask volunteers to check the Owl Post daily. You can even include special notes, hints to games and more this way.

Weasleys Shop This is in both Hogwarts and Diagon Alley. Visit your local dollar store for ideas for magic games or toys. Prank objects from Weasleys Wizard Wheezes / Weasleys Shop are made and designed by the owners of the shop (Fred and George), Your participants can create their own prank objects, perhaps even submitting them for acceptance into the shop on a consignment basis. Be creative! Some of the items in their shop include: Canary Creams make the eater turn briey into a large canary; when the effect wears off, he molts and returns to normal. Extendable Ears are long esh-colored strings one end of which is inserted into a users ear and the other end placed further away towards a conversation or sound. Users will be able to hear the sounds as if they were much closer to the source. They were rst introduced by Fred and George Weasley in Order of the Phoenix. Headless Hat creates a limited eld of invisibility that covers the wearers head, giving him or her the appearance of not having a head. Its counterpart is a Shield Hat, which deects minor hexes and curses. Though Fred and George design the Shield Hat to be a trick item, Ministry officials are impressed by its practical value and order 500 of them. Shield Cloaks and Shield Gloves soon go on sale as well. Patented Daydream Charms are a kit that puts the user into realistic daydreams, which can easily be tted into any lesson. Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder throws an area into darkness that cannot be broken by wand light or any magical means. Draco Malfoy uses it to avoid members of Dumbledores Army in Half-Blood Prince. Skiving Snackboxes are candies that are designed to make the eater ill so that they will be unable to attend class. Each variety of Snackboxes causes a different effect, such as vomiting, fainting or developing nosebleeds. One end of the candy causes the malady, while the other end subsequently cures it.

Spell-Checking Quill when the charm wears off, everything is misspelled. Ton-Tongue Toffees make the eaters tongue temporarily grow to an alarmingly-large size, as read about in Goblet of Fire when Fred accidentally drops some in front of Dudley. Trick Wands are magical fake wands that turn into a silly item (rubber chickens, tin parrots, etc.) when someone tries to use them. More expensive varieties beat the unwary user about the head and neck. U-No-Poo causes the consumer to have constipation, or as Fred and George refer to it: The constipation sensation thats gripping the nation. Weasleys Wild-Fire Whiz-Bangs are enchanted reworks that have overly spectacular effects.

Zonkos Joke Shop Items that might be found here include: Dungbombs Hiccup Sweets Frog Spawn Soap Nose-Biting Teacups Belch Powder Ever-Bashing Boomerangs Fanged Frisbees Screaming Yo-Yo Stink Pellets
