TURBINE ENGINE
With over 300 million total flight hours to its credit, Caravans Pratt & Whitney PT6A-114A engine has a scheduled overhaul interval of 3,600 hours and a hot section inspection at 1,800 hours. The cowling can be completely removed in less than 15 minutes, exposing the engine and accessories for exceptional ease of maintenance.

DURABLE LANDING GEAR

The main gear is a massive steel tube linked directly to the fuselage. Its flexible design is perfect for grass, gravel and even rough airstrips. The nose gear is engineered to absorb both vertical and lateral force by transmitting the impact to the fuselage. And large, rough-field tires contribute further to the Caravans rugged flexibility.

Fluid is supplied to porous titanium panels on the leading edge of the wings, propeller, windshield and tail to keep critical surfaces clear of ice. With no loss of performance. The rugged cargo pod is one of the Caravans most popular options and is available on all models except the Amphibian.
