It has been noticed a good nos of students are going abroad for pursuing Medicines due to limited seats in India and competitions are very tough. As far as the cost, pursuing Medicines in a Private college after paying the capitation fees are not cheaper in India than doing the same abroad. My suggestion is to do the same in China (MBBS) and for post graduation you may opt for Philippines. Your age will not be a factor. Here is the website for your help: http://www.saraswationline.com

Close All | Open All Who is eligible to study MBBS in medical colleges of China?

Any Indian citizen who has attained the age of 17 years and has passed 10+2 Level from any recognised Council/Board of India or abroad. He/She must have studied Physics , Chemistry and Biology as elective subjects and obtained minimum 50% in aggregate of PCB combined. Also must have studies and passed English as a compulsory subject.

Where can I do my Internship? It is mandatory that you do the internship at the college at China. What will be the mode of payment and in what currency? All payments will be calculated in US Dollars. However you may pay in INR if you pay in India. At China your food and other miscellaneous expenditure has to be paid in RMB, that is the Chinese Yuan. What shall be the total expenditure including Hostel & Food? Please refer to the Fee Structure of the particular institution. What is the procedure for admission? Firstly you need to obtain eligibility from MCI. Then you may apply for admission. After the Registration & application process is duly completedyour visa application will be processed by the college. On receipt of Visa your travel plans will be finalised and a confirmed admission order will be issued to you. What is the mode of travel & cost? Mode of travel shall be by air. Approx one way fare is 400 US DOLLAR in the shortest route. That is EX KOLKATA via KATHMANDU (NEPAL). What is the course duration for an MBBS in China? 5 & years as in India. 4 & Years + 1 Year Internship. What happens if I fail to clear the screening test of MCI? Normally a student who passes MBBS from a WHO recognised college is expected to clear the test. One can also take coaching towards preparation for the same. One can get three chances so it is not likely to be a deterrent factor. What about my food? Will I have to eat only Chinese food? The vegetables available there are very similar to what we get here. All the popular vegetables like Potato, Brinjal, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Beans, Carrots, Cucumber etc are available.Similarly Egg , Fish, Chicken , Mutton are also abundant. Indian style Rotis are available in special restaurants but Loaf Bread, Cookies , Pastries, Ice Cream, Canned Juices are available in plenty in all the college canteens & dining halls.

Is the course approved by MCI? The MCI cannot approve or disapprove any foreign degree. But they conduct a screening test and allow successful candidates to register with them to practice in India. How much time is required to reach the college from India? If properly planned one can reach in One day. How many times can I come home in a year? There are two vacations. Winter and summer. The winter vacation is around the last week of December and is normally for 10 days. We suggest you enjoy china during this period. The Summer vacation is normally for 5 weeks and around August/September and you can easily visit your home during this period. That is also the end of term. However the travel by air takes totally about 8-10 hrs from anywhere in India with some intermittent time for flight changeover. How is the weather & climate in China? The climate is very similar to that of India. Tropical with regional variations. How do I get an eligibility from Medical Council of India? If one satisfies the above requirement then he/she can apply in prescribed format to MCI. MCI on due appraisal at their end shall issue necessary certificate. We shall assist in this. How do I get a Visa? Will you be arranging it for me? Yes we will process your visa application. Does everybody get MCI eligibility? Yes, subject to Question 1. Do I have to learn Mandarin(Chinese)? Yes. You would have to learn Mandarin. The teaching would be done in English though. This is required in order fo you to converse / communicate with patients during your internship program. Do any Indian professors teach there? Yes. A number of professors of foreign origin teach there. Many of them are from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Can I practice in India on my return?

Yes. You can practice in India. In order to practice as a medical practioner you have to register yourself with the State or Indian Medical Council. For this you have to appear for a screening test. On clearing the screening test you are eligible for registration as a doctor and allowed to practice on par with all other doctors. Can I get a job in a Government Hospital or allied medical institutions in India? Yes. After clearing the screening test & getting your registration with the State or Central Council you are eligible for any government appointment. Can I get a bank loan & to what extent? As per RBI regulation an Indian student pursueing education abroad can obtain Bank Loan upto 15 Lacs INR. Since the cost of the entire program is well within this amount the entire program can be funded from Bank Loan. Can I do MD/MS, meaning, Post Graduation there? Yes on successful completion of MBBS you may pursue PG courses there. Can I get a Loan from Saraswati Online.com? No. We can certainly advise, guide, and help you with the documentation but you will have to approach a bank of your choice to avail the loan.. Are there many Indian students studying there? Yes. There are currently over 1200 students from India studying in the various colleges we promote. Apart from Indian students there are lots of other students from SAARC countries.
