1. The following are the essential qualifications for the post of Assistant Professor (contract): A. Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masters level in the relevant subject. B. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC. C. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (A) and (B) above, the candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from NET. D. The qualifications and other conditions as above are subject to the regulations/norms stipulated by the MHRD/UGC from time to time.

2. Candidates should enclose attested copies of certificates towards the evidence of age, educational qualifications, community, physical disability, if any, experience, etc. with the application. 3. The University reserves the right to fill or not to fill any posts. 4. Selection will be made on the basis of candidates previous record and their performance in the interview. The University may utilize seminar/colloquium and/or any other mode as a method of selection. 5. Appointed teachers may be assigned other academic or administrative responsibilities in addition to their regular teaching and research. 6. The last date for receipt of filled-in applications is 15thJuly 2011.
