Products and Packaging Coding Solutions

Manufacturers of consumer and industrial products need to code their products for a variety of reasons. It could be to comply with legislation, provide consumer or user information, to improve operational performance, or even to improve branding. Dominos focus is the application of advanced coding technologies to meet these and future requirements across an extensive range of industries. Domino's technologies are applied in four main areas: directly onto products, or on primary, secondary or tertiary packaging. Dominos ink jet and laser printers, thermal transfer overprinters and print and apply labellers can be used on a wide variety of applications to meet these needs.

Standard Font
Dominos advanced ink jet technology allows you to print high quality, high definition codes on a variety of substrates.

PinpointTM
High quality, high speed, ink jet micro-printing. Pinpoint provides very fine characters as small as 0.8mm and at speeds up to 309 metres per minute @ 15 characters per inch.

Advanced Fluids
Domino offers a vast range of inks to suit all coding requirements, in a wide range of colours.

Machine readable Codes

A wide range of machine readable codes can be printed, including 2D codes and bar codes. Bar codes can be produced with human readable codes either below or beside the bar code. Custom logos can be created to enhance product packaging and product ownership.

A-Series plus Duo Twin Jet

High speed high volume ink jet for multiple line printing.

Thermal Ink Jet

For high quality (600dpi), high-speed printing (up to 300m/min) of 1 and 2D codes, text and graphics on porous and non-porous substrates, in conjunction with Domino's fast drying inks.

Thermal Transfer Overprint

Dominos Thermal Transfer Overprint systems print product information and variable codes including dates, bar codes and graphics onto flexible packaging such as polypropylene, coated aluminium, papers, labels and tyvek. Print resolution is 300dpi. Print areas can vary from a single character to 128mm x 1000mm.

Ribbons are available in a wide range of colours and grades to suit substrate and end user property requirements.

Scribing Laser
Domino Scribing Laser printers can mark serial numbers, batch codes, bar codes, 2D codes, real-time numbers, logos, graphics, or more complicated European and Asian characters with a choice of laser powers dependent on the application.

Dot Matrix Laser

Using unique Rainbow laser tube technology, Domino Dot Matrix Laser can print onto a wider variety of substrates than its leading competitors. From toughened glass to the thinnest PETor thermoplastics, Laser can print permanent and completely indelible codes at high speeds, fast enough to meet most production lines.

Large Character Standard Alphanumeric

For all outer case coding requirements, Domino offers large character codes ranging from standard alphanumeric on demand to digital, high definition solutions capable of producing bar codes, logos and graphic images up to 70mm high.
