2). APPLICATION FEE: Programmes M.E (PT) / M.Tech(PT) MBA (FT/PT) / MCA (FT) Fee General 600 SC/ST 300

The candidates should pay the application fee through State Bank of India fee remittance chellan at any where branches in India. The chellan hosted in the University website: http://www.annauniv.ac.in. 3). APPLICATION FORM: The candidates have to submit separate application form for each Programme. 4). MODE OF STUDY: MBA Full Time & Part Time Programme MCA Full Time Programme M.E / M.Tech Part Time Programme Full Time: Full Time Classes will be conducted in the University premises Part Time: Part Time Classes will be conducted in the University premises in evening time (i.e. from 6.00 PM to 9.15 PM)

5). MODE OF SELECTION: Counselling will be conducted by Anna University of Technology, Coimbatore based on TANCET 2010 / Valid GATE Score 5.1) Candidates will be admitted through counselling only. More number of candidates than the actual number of seats available will be called for counselling. Admission will be offered depending upon the seats available based on the merit of the candidates who attend counselling as per reservation norms of Govt. of Tamil Nadu and others cannot claim any right for admission. A candidate can get Allotment for One Programme only. Note: The number of seats/courses/branches available/not available is subject to Change before the counselling. 5.2) TANCET 2010 / Valid GATE Score candidates must appear for counselling with the original TANCET 2010 / GATE score card (Additional card will not be accepted). Candidates without the original TANCET 2010 / GATE score card will not be permitted to attend the counselling. If a seat is allotted under TANCET 2010 / GATE category, the candidate has to submit the original TANCET 2010 / GATE score card. 5.3) Candidates who have passed all the subjects of Qualified Degree Examination alone will be allowed to attend the counselling. 5.4)Candidates who have passed all the subjects in the qualified degree examination but have not yet received the Provisional/Degree Certificate and if such candidates are offered provisional admission they have to join the programme on the prescribed date after paying the prescribed fee. However, they must produce the Provisional/Degree Certificate on or before admission. The provisional admission of those who fail to produce the above said certificate on or before the specified time, even if eligible, will automatically stand cancelled and they have to discontinue the programme. 5.5) The counselling schedule and cut-off mark(s) will be published in the website of Anna University of Technology, Coimbatore http://www.annauniv.ac.in 5.6)Eligible candidates may appear for counselling according to their cut-off mark(s), two hours before the counselling session, irrespective of receipt of individual communication. Candidates who do not attend the counselling may have to forego the claim of admission. 5.7) No change of date/time of counselling is permissible. Authorities are not responsible for the non-receipt of counselling intimation. 5.8) Candidates who are Native of Tamil Nadu but have studied XII or/ and Degree outside Tamil Nadu have to produce the Nativity Certificate obtained from the Tahsildar of their Native Taluk / District of Tamil Nadu for considering them as Tamil Nadu candidates. 5.9) Reservations for Differently Abled candidates are available as per the Government norms. Candidates seeking admission against the reservation set apart for Orthopedically Differently Abled Persons / Hearing Impaired (Deaf) / Visually Impaired should produce the certificate from the District Medical Board certifying the nature and extent of disability in

percentage and with regard to the suitability for admission to colleges specifically mentioned below. Certificate obtained from an individual doctor will not be considered. The certificate should be in the prescribed format. 5.10) Due to unforeseen reasons, if a candidate could not attend the counselling on the specified date and time, he/she can attend on a subsequent time/date, during the counselling period. But the candidate can only opt for the seats available at the time of attending the counselling and cannot claim any seat as per the rank. 5.11) For Sponsored Category limited number of seats (Full Time Study & Part-time study) are available in P.G. degree programmes for the candidates employed and sponsored by the Government Organizations/ Government / Government Aided Educational Institutions/ AICTE approved Engineering Colleges under sponsored category at the University Departments of Anna University of Technology Coimbatore. However, the minimum percentage of marks and minimum years of experience is required for the Full time&Part time Sponsored Category . All the candidates under sponsored category should have appeared for TANCET 2010 conducted by Anna University Chennai and also the candidate should produce the necessary . 5.12) For Service/ Ex service man Category limited number of seats (Full Time Study &Part-time study) are available in P.G. degree programmes the candidates must satisfy the Govt. of Tamilnadu Norms. 5.13) For Physically Challanged Category limited number of seats (Full Time Study & Part-time study) are available in P.G. degree programmes the candidates must satisfy the Govt. of Tamilnadu Norms(Refer Certificates) 5.14) Counselling and allotting authorities reserve the right to accept or reject any application without assigning any reason(s). 6). a. The above fee shall be paid by the selected candidate in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of The Registrar, Anna University of Technology, Coimbatore, payable at Coimbatore. 9). SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS:

The filed in Application should be submitted On-line with necessary documents. Application received after the due date will be summarily rejected. 10).ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Refer Annexure A (for M.E. / M.Tech. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: All the above courses will be conducted in University premises. All the above courses will be conducted M.E (PT) / M. Tech (PT) / MBA (FT/PT) / MCA (FT) mode.

Candidates must submit separate application for FULL Time and PART Time Programme M.E. / M.Tech Candidates applying for more than one Programme should submit a separate application for each Programme.

The Prior selection of Candidates is based on TANCET 2010 and valid GATE score. Candidates are instructed to view the University website www.annauniv.ac.in for On-line Application. The filed Application should be submitted only through On-line. Candidates appearing for the final year semester examinations can also apply. Candidates must have passed degree / appeared for the final semester / year examination of the qualifying degree examination from recognized Universities. Seats will be filled as per the reservation norms prescribed by the Government of Tamilnadu. Candidates seeking admission to part-time (evening) programmes should ensure authorities that they will be in a position to attend the classes in the evenings and also on holidays and fulfill the requirements regarding attendance as laid down by the University from time to time. If they are working, the working place should be within a distance of 90 km from the study campus. Cost of Application once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. The candidates must submit the Print out of Application Form at the time of Counselling and Admission. The candidates must submit the University copy of application fee chellan at the

time of counselling. The candidates are requested to download the fee chellan in University website and should pay the application fee at any branches in State Bank of India and correctly fill up the bank journal no in the application form. No cash counter open for collection of application fees at the time of counselling and also DD/Cash not accepted at the time of counselling. Any unfilled/ lapsed seats will be filled by the general category. Stipend will not be provided at any Selected Candidates.
