Usage
Este amortiguador ha sido especialmente diseado para su utilizacin sobre cables de fibra ptica autosoportados, optimizando el rendimiento con respecto a los amortiguadores stockbridge convencionales cuando se utilizan con cables de este tipo. Es un amortiguador con ocho frecuencias de resonancia, de peso sensiblemente inferior a los convencionales y con un sistema de fijacin al cable que minimiza la concentracin de esfuerzos. El amortiguador se coloca generalmente sobre las varillas de proteccin de la grapa de suspensin o sobre los empalmes de proteccin de las retenciones preformadas de amarre. En caso de necesidad de instalacin directa sobre el cable, se montarn sobre unas varillas de proteccin suministradas bajo pedido). Tambin es adecuado para cables de fibra ptica OPGW con dimetro desde 8 a 14 mm.

This damper is especially designed for installation with ADSS fibre optic cables, improving the performance of the conventional stockbridge vibration damper when used with this kind of cables. It is a damper with eight frequencies,with less mass than in comparison with the conventional models and with a clamping system without bolts that minimises stress concentration. The damper is normally installed on the armour rods of the suspension clamp or the protection splice of the dead end tension set. When the damper has to be positioned directly on the cable, it is needed a set of armour rods provided on demand. It is also recommended for OPGW cables with overall diameter from 8 to 14 mm.
