We can identify peoples thought, whether theyre lying or not, just by looking at their face. We can even know peoples characteristics. The article also explains that facial expression is universal and can be learned.

The writers purpose is to let us know that we can identify peoples thoughts and characteristics by reading their face, and that we can learn to do that. The more experiences you have, the more instinctive you are.
