i-tec on Purpose

Combine Matt. 28:19-20 and Jn. 15:8 and youll have the i-tec purpose statement in a nutshell. We exist to develop tools and training systems designed to put frontier God followers into the drivers seat of ministry to their own people. The proof that any one of us is carrying out Christs Great Commission is that those we disciple are bearing fruit- and proving to be Christs disciples- therein proving that we are doing what Christ commanded us to domake disciples

I-tec is acquiring the only available piece of property on the Shell Mera (Ecuador) airstrip (This is the same airstrip that was Nate Saints home base in the 1950s). We have been looking for a good location to build an indigenous Believers technical training center, and this site seems an answer to prayer. With some initial funding in place, we have already started putting up a metal building which will be used as a hangar, shop, classrooms, and (in a pinch during phase one) even for sleeping. Phase two will add student and staff housing on the property. We have already built a Super STOL (short takeoff and landing) bush plane which will be used for transportation and training. Onethird of the plane has been paid through a single generous donation. Itemized costs now include $75K for the land, $60k for construction, $10K for site improvements, and $100K for the balance of the airplane. Can everyone grab a brick??

Florida Fly-in

In Gods Hands

Our almost completed Maverick Sport flying car made its debut appearance at the Sun-N-Fun air show in Lakeland, Florida last month. We were busy putting final touches on it on the day of the show. Literally starting from scratch, we started gathering the materials for this model (prototype #2) this past August. Last month, we drove the Sport on the ground for the first time (using the transmission drive and also using the propeller drive).

Joshua Guthrie went to be with the Lord on April 18th when the airplane he was flying crashed near Orlando, Florida. He was an experienced commercial pilot & aircraft mechanic, and was working alongside i-tec, preparing for a career in humanitarian aviation to help physically and spiritually hurting people in frontier areas of the world. The "bush-type" plane had been donated to i-tec specifically so Josh could build flight time and flying experience in the type of aircraft he was preparing to operate in the field. We are deeply saddened and will be marked by his death, but we are determined that Josh's dream of using airplanes to take comfort and hope to hurting people "Beyond Roads" will live on as a memorial to our dear friend and partner.
