Way to destruction

With the modernization of life our education system is also going towards modernization. Our childrens are facing PSC and JSC examination now. But having a modern system not means that the learning process of our children is standard enough. Because if we observe the learning system of a classroom we will see that still we have many lacking. To present the proper idea it is essential for us to describe a situation. Ones one of my friends asked a student (from class 2) to tell a story from his text book. Then the student answered no, I cant. But I can answer all the exercise questions. The reason behind this situation is the teachers of that school are supplying handmade sheets to the students which contain all kinds of exercises from the text and solutions needed for the examination. As a result the students are making a good result. But they are not able to tell a story from their text book! Because they are less familiar with their text book. The only reason is the poor mentality of the teacher. This shocking history is happening in some famous school in Dhaka city. We are not in the opposite of supplying hand notes, but focusing on the text book should be the first priority. Beside this there are many students memorizing their lessons without understanding them. This is a very common scenario in our education system. Without studying textbooks they read guidebooks which are available in the market. They are getting a good mark in the exams and the teachers are also inspiring them because of their own benefit. Sometimes the teachers called the students to come their home for taking tuition. Here the teachers are only focusing on their own benefit. By supplying hand note or by inspiring memorization they are just pushing their students to earn a good result not to learn properly. We never want to say it that this is the scenario of every educational institute. But some are creating great harm for future citizen by providing this bad educational service. Due to memorizing lessons, they pass the exam but do not get good jobs. But if the teachers direct them in a correct way, it would yield good results in future. It is a matter of great delight that GOB has already introduced creative system in SSC and HSC level .We hope that soon they will also take initiatives to improve the internal educational system. Because it is better to do something at the starting stage.
