Directing and Supervising the laboratory Directing refers to the means employed to encourage all personnel in the organization

to accomplish whatever assignment may be given them by management in order to achieve the objectives in the manner they were planned and organized. A manager who uses this style view all authority to be concentrated at the very top. 3. Leadership by absenteeism or inattention. This practice must be condemned.
