ANSWER TO QUESTION ONE

Seven up bottling companies currently produces the following products: Seven up, Mirinda, Pepsi and Mountain Dew, and the manufacture of these products depend on the concentrate that is available at that time. But I want to briefly describe the manufacturing process of Pepsi Brand under the seven up products. Pepsi Brand has two types namely Pepsi Cola and Pepsi Blue Spice.

In order to produce Pepsi Brand, we need four basic raw material s which includes, about 95% of Water, Sugar, Carbon (IV) oxide and the Pepsi concentrate. Though, we can also have sugar free Pepsi product or Brand (Pepsi Light). The carbon (IV) oxide used here, has two main functions:

It is responsible for the tingling satisfying taste in the product It as preservative i.e. extends it life span (Shelf Life). The Pepsi concentrate used here also, serve as distinguishing factor between the two types of P epsi Brand (Pepsi Cola or Pepsi Blue Spice) either by taste or colour and their flavour has different concentrate, produce and imported abroad (USA), Because it is original host for Pepsi production
PRODUCTION PROCEDURE The water used here is gotten from Boreholes, where it is subjected to treatment in water treatment room using filter pad (18 in number s) for purification of this water. This is because; an investigation shown that water from the Borehole is not fit for consumption except it is subjected to treatment. This treated water is then send to simple syrup room, were treated water is mixed sugar (Granule Form) inside a big tank.

This mixture (treated water and sugar) is now subjected to filtration in order to remove some particle that came with the sugar and the one that came with the Boreholes water during the mixture. These particles may be visible to the ordinary eye while others may not. This filtration is done in order to do away with these particles.

This solution is now send to syrup room in order to syrup which is not medicinal. It is prepared by the mixture of the solution with the Pepsi concentrate. The features of this syrup are thickness and triteness which can be liked to a common honey that we take.

Thereafter, send this syrup to a container called the Carbo -cooler that work like our refrigerator at home. They compose of treated water and carbon (IV) oxide that converges. The Carbo-cooler will now be chilling it, under a low temperature in order to obtain our by-product, which is our Beverage that we drink. This Beverage is store in this Carbo-cooler that function to help gases to dissolve properly into the beverage.
ANSWER TO QUESTION TWO Technology used in the production of Pepsi Brand is the machines used for the production process of this Pepsi Brand. They include the following UNCASER:Uncaser works in conjunction with the conveyor which is a belt like object looking like the table. It is the be ginning of the conveyor, it remove one crate at a time i.e. 24 bottle and place on top of the conveyor. CONVEYOR:- The conveyor is a machine or belt like object that keep sliding and sliding, which now send this bottles in to another machine called washer. WASHER:- It is charge with the responsibility of washing these bottles. The than the classroom and it is segmented into six department and in each of these department, what goes on there is that highly concentrated water (hot water) is mixed with some chemical s such as the caustic soda, p3z, chlorine etc They occur in combination, in order to give a detail washing of these bottles. But before these bottles get into the washer, as they are coming from the market i.e. as they are been brought into the yard, there some set of workers whose duty is to separate these bottle into two different categories namely Abuse Categ ory and the Non Abuse Category. The Non-abuse categories are those normal bottles. Here, the consumer gets this bottles of drink, take or drink it and return this bottle the way it is to drink seller but in Abuse Category for instance, the consumer purchase these bottle of drink, open it and squeeze the crown cork in the bottle of the drink with the mind of removing the gas

contain in the drink or with the mind of removing bubbles. Secondly, Abuse Category can be seen situation whereby a young boy goes to football field to

play football for instance, and in the cost of playing this ball, they now play the ball inside the bush beside the football fi eld and the young boy now enter the bush in search of the ball, in the process he find a bottle (an empty bottle), he pick it with the football, keep it beside the football field till the final blow of whistle (end of the game), thereafter he pick it and s ell it to those Men that buy bottles along the street. The Man would not even have time to wash this kind of bottle before he now sells them to those people that sell the product, when this seller needs more bottles (crates). These kind of bottles are now sent directly to the plant (yard), where it is now washed normally and join the Non -Category. Also, abused category can be gotten, in a situation where the bottle are been used to measure Palm Oil, Kerosene, Alcohol etc There are people in the depot plant whose duty is to wash all these bottles from morning till evening and joins them to the Non-abuse category. These bottles gets to the washer, it is plotted to the washer mechanically and they now go through the six department of washer, and remember, one of the component of the washer is Hot water, this hot water is introduced into these bottle on a gradual note. As in going through the cool warm, through the warm, and then subsiding under ward that keen of well known. These bottles are not taken instantly because of the sudden change in temperature to avoid bottle cracking. So, there is a need for it to be introduced gradually it must also come out on a gradual process. By the time it goes through the washer, when it is coming out, it is equally coming out on top of another conveyor, which will now carry these bottle straight sited somewhere known as the sighter. It is so called an Empty Sighter because there two categories of sighter, the one that digress the Empty bottle and that digress the filled up bottles.
EMPTY SIGHTER:- They digress the empty bottles. They are hunks, they sit down behind an illumination, cool blocked, strictly watching these bottle whole tied against the background of the light. It can easily deplete which are good enough for the production process and which one is not. This because there some bottle that has flatted chip at the end, such one are called cheapness, they are not good for the production process because not as if when you put the drink and cap side it, it might not necessary lick but because of the chip pness, there is every tendency that the gas inside the drink can lick out t rough the chip gradually until when it is finally licked out totally, which is not good for human consumption. Those are the drink you open without a citre sound bobble sign. Meaning, such drink or product quality has been tempered with, so such a bottle, the Empty Sighter must remove. He also removes those bottles that has conspicuous crack. There also some which are initially abused ought to have been washed manually but due to error of omission or commission, no body remembered to wash them. Such bottle goes straight into the washer. There is every tendency that such a bottle cannot get washed appropriately as expected, such a bottle an Empty Sighter fish out and eli minate. Therefore also some

bottle that has a squeezed cork crown inside of them, such bottle must be removed because implications. Though, the Empty Sighter is subjected to human error due to stress (body been stress up). This Man might dose off at the cost of doing his job and by the time he realises, one to five bottles may have pass through, into a machine (filter) that will filled the bottles . It is from the light these, Electronic Bottle Inspector (EBI) was introduced. EBI:- It is a machine that contains several sensors (light objects) that works by diverting the bad bottles coming from the conveyor into a drum of water and directing the good ones to a machine called filler via the sensors. This drum of water can serve as check because there may be some bottles that will be diverted into this drum of water as a result of the bottle not been washed manually, which ought to have been washed.
