Microsoft Corporation is the worlds largest publicly listed multinational software company with its headquarter in Washington, United States that generates, manufactures, licenses, and supports a wide-ranging products and services line largely related to computing through its several product divisions. Microsoft was established on April 4, 1975 with its principal aim to generate and sell BASIC interpreters for the Altair 8800, Microsoft started dominating the home computer operating system market with MS-DOS around mid-1980s, followed by the Microsoft Windows line of OSs. The following rise of stock in the company's 1986 initial public offering (IPO) made an assessed four billionaires and 12,000 millionaires from Microsoft employees. Microsoft would come to dictate other markets as well, notably the office suite market with Microsoft Office. In 1990s, critics opposed the company used monopolistic corporate practices and anticompetitive tactics including denial to deal and put irrational constraints in the use of its software, and used misrepresentative marketing strategies; along with the U.S. Department of Justice, European Commission discovered that the company is in violation of antitrust acts. Microsoft was well acknowledged for its interviewing process with incomprehensible questions, numerous studies and ratings were often favorable to Microsoft's assortment within the company as well as its overall environmental impression with the exception of the electronics division of the company.
