STAGE INVESTIGATION PROJECT

WHAT EXACTLY IS CASA BAUBO? It is a musical project and sinestesic, which is part of an investigation into music and music therapy that began eight years ago and now continues to develop in three simultaneous directions, one of them being this musical spectacle. There are two main objectives for this research being staged. On the one hand we aim to take the listeners, using sound and music and different visual and scented stimuli ,on a journey through different personalities, passions, emotions, feelings, moods (anger, sadness, pride, lust, love, joy, etc.) we produce mental images like those of the soundtrack of a movie. These personalities, sensations, emotions and mental images, will be stimulated and reflected, using sounds, the interpretation of the songs we choose and also the improvisations that link these songs. On the other hand it reaffirms and strengthens the hypothesis that there is a relationship between the parameters of sound and music, and certain specific aspects of communication and personality. All of these factors influence the listener, changing their mood in a specific way according to the stimulus that the listeners undergo or are exposed to. This show will be repeated in different spaces and stages, observing, analyzing and registering the reactions of the audience. Each song and improvisation will represent a kind of personality, passion; in form of love, colour, flavour, smell using the voice, the way of singing and attitude on stage together with the personal way of producing the sound each performer achieves when using his instrument. The improvisations that link these songs will be interrelated by proximity or remoteness to what is beng represented at the time eg, if the song has been sung as a passion, color, smell, taste, etc. The improvisations will be based on passions, odours, flavours, colours, etc. depending on the effect intended in that particular concert. The general pattern underlying the project and the script for the concert are classifications of different personalities that dominate a passion, as each personality, conditioned by the passion, attitude ante or love, emotions, skills sinestsicas and pathologies that result and therefore describe our way of expressing ourselves and connect us. In addition, eight years of research into music and music therapy and the relationship between the parameters of sound and music and specific aspects of communication and personality.

We aim to offer the public the maximum guarantee of quality, results, seriousness and entertainment. The musician taking part in this show have been carefully selected in auditions and jam session in cities and spaces where live music is usually performed. Each musician has been selected (intention) for their special sound, expression and attitude on stage, showing a unique personality through their music.All of them are recognized and prestigious profesionals:Albert Sanz, Alejandro Vargas, Anton Jarl, Aruan Ortiz, Enrique Oliver, Jordi Gaspar, Jordi Rossy, Albert Cirera, Pablo Seoane, Pau Domenech, Raynald Colom, Vctor Correa, Voro Garca, among others.

What is the show all about?

CASA BAUBO is a sinestesic aimed at an adult audience (only over 18) consisting in the live performance of a series of songs and improvisations. We start with the hypothesis that the combination of the different parameters of sounds and music in an appropriate manner, through hues, textures, intensities, etc. of vocals and instruments, and how these are used, they represent sound and the way different passions and personalities work together on stage . This affects the public listening, immersing them on a journey to the different personalities, passions, emotions and moods which will in turn inspire mental images as if it were the soundtrack for a film. Everything will be reflected in the interpretation of the songs we choose, but also in the improvisations, stimulated by proposed sinestsicas: colors and aromas that accompany each of the songs. * "Each one of us has Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde within, an affable person and a shadowy entity". Under the mask of consciousness are hidden all kinds of negative behaviors and emotions: anger, jealousy, hatred, envy, resentment, greed, lust, lies, murderous tendencies, etc. The unexplored territory of ourselves, and it is revealed when we hear music, through sensations, emotions and mental images. .

Music is a succession of ordinate of sounds which are pleasant for our auditory sensitivity, that surrounds and produces a change or an emotional alteration ,be it physical or psychological within us. Who is the project designed for? People over 18, that wish to share and to experiment. When a person is open to experimentation, they receive Music and let themselves be penetrated by it, passively or joyfully. But the music itself receives, contains or is invaded by the listener who needs it and actively searches for it. To enter Music is like entering the water. The possibility of undergoing a sensation of well-being depends on the degree of individual necessity like the relative temperatures of the person and the water. When we feel heat, it is comforting to be submerged into fresh water, but if we are not hot the reaction could be one of violent rejection. Even in the case of a great necessity, the excessive resistance of temperatures could be counter-productive (Violet Hemsy de Gainza). The intention is to observe and to pick up the reactions and different answers from the public throughout the 90 minutes that the concert lasts. As the Music and the influencing sounds change throughout the concert, so that we can explore our physical perceptions, emotional and psychological: moods and emotions (empathy, rejection, sadness, love, etc.); physical sensations (temperature, perspiration, pulse, cardiac frequency, etc.); mental processes (images, memories, etc.)

It is the name of an experiment made by a group of gifted musicians who collaborate in the research and give life to this experience that will take many and different spaces and will resonate in the ear of all as a new form of addressing, presenting, understand and enjoy the music. SONGS A program consisting of songs, some of them well known, and thematic improvisations, make up the soundtrack that we involve the public in this exciting journey. IMPROVISATION "Music creation at the moment, through the reaction to external impulses and playback experiences ""This seasoned with heart" (Henry Oliver.) (Trumpet player and composer) "Every moment is improvisation?... or maybe the improvisation is a word invented by our minds to try to close something insurmountable, because I think that the improvisation that we normally talk about is something previously studied and prepared and thus it fails and somehow loses that spontaneous nature associated with improvisation." Spontaneous nature. Does it exist? We see it as being spontaneous because we cant perceive all the millions of processes taking place at that moment (light, temperature, space, vibration, gin and tonic, age, energy... a million in the Bank) at the conscious level. But the unconscious seems to be moving in a completely different direction which appears to be pr-programmed like all living being which have to be in perpetual motion, or die. And at the unconscious level we recognize and acknowledge everything because we do not judge and classify what we perceive. This assertion is based on biological, anatomo-physiological facts (only when the information reaches the Central nervous system, does it cause a sensation and perception. The reception of audible stimuli through the ear sand skin and transform them into nerve impulses); psychological (our perceptions are closely linked to emotions, understanding by Thales accompanied by the nervous system.
