Rubber band Coin Pebble Zinc Pupils carry out simple experiments. They are given a basin of water, rocks, plastic wrapper, pieces of table cloth, balloon, tissuepaper, old newspaper. Arrange the object in an increasing order according to the least absorbent to the most absorbent. Use and handle science apparatus and substances carefully.

Application of ideas ( 20 minutes)

The table cloth is made of cotton wool. Cotton wool can absorb water. That is why, table cloth can absorb water. Raincoat and umbrella is made from plastic(PVC), that is why they cannot absorb water.

Teacher shows 2 object that are an umbrella and a raincoat. What is the function of umbrella and raincoat? Umbrella: To protect ourselves during sunny days or rainy days. Raincoat: To be protect ourselves from wet during rainy days especially for those who are using motorbike.
