Gov Malanyaon added that it is not difficult to support the noble intent of the 28IB, Philippine Army. Mayor Lim on his remarks said, The efforts of 28IB will be useless if the barangay folks themselves do not support the programs of the government. Therefore, I am urging you to sincerely show our

gratitude and support the efforts of our Governor and our Philippine Army for a lasting peace and for our future. LtCol Imbang, commander of the 28IB, said your Army today is no longer focused on combat alone. The bayanihan effort with your local leadership and your Army is more efficient in bringing the people closer to the Government. We are glad that the leadership in Lupon and our ever supportive Governor Cora Malanyaon welcomes and supports the Armys Peace & Development Outreach Program. One of the guests during the groundbreaking and Medical Outreach in Brgy Ilangay is the 701st Infantry Brigade Commander, Col Leonido Bongcawil. The Army will continue to support the programs of our Local and Provincial Government. With the consent of your local leaders, the outreach program will be extended to all the barangays here in the Municipality of Lupon, Col Bongcawil said. As Ilangay B/Capt Sani Hanani welcomed all the Medical and Dental Outreach volunteers, he also remarked that I am glad that the 28IB included our barangay in their outreach program. This is not the first time that our Army visited the barangay with our Mayor and the Government agencies bringing in services to us for free. This is not a one-man show. The outstanding result of these free services will not be accomplished by the Army alone. It is through the collaborative efforts and selfless service of the Provincial and Local Government with their Health & Nutrition Agencies, and our Private Medical Practitioners here in Davao Oriental, Ltc Imbang added.
