3

Do standardization and regulation activities produce benefits? Yes or No Yes Are these activities conducted on a voluntary basis?

Yes
1. Standardization produces benefits for customers. 2. Standardization produces benefits for business manufacture and the nation itself.
.
4

Benefits of Global Harmonization for Motor Vehicles

Benefits to the nation Elimination of nontariff barriers More efficient rule making More efficient security of safety Benefits to Manufacturers More efficient development of productivity Reduction of costs Promotion of technological development and transfer

Benefits to customers Lower retail prices of Automobiles Improved safety and environment Expanded selection of automobiles
5

Activity for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulation

It is an activity targeted to be unified different countries regulation internationally (testing method, performance and structure requirement) It is discussed at WP29 ( World forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulation ) organized inside United Nations and ISO.
6

Whats Mutual Recognition ? Purpose: To simplify certification procedure among the contracting countries. Free and Open Trade and Investment
benefits for business ,manufacture and the nation itself

Whats Mutual Recognition ?

Free and Open Trade and Expand of Investment
