Kir Royale
Champagne and creme de cassis
(Named after Felix Kir, mayor of Dijon in Burgundy, France during WWII)
Sazerac
Rye whiskey, simple syrup and peychaud’s bitters
(A quintessential New Orleans drink created by Antoine Amadie Peychaud)
Manhattan
Rye whiskey, sweet vermouth and angostura bitters
(A bartender at a Manhattan club created this for Sir Winston Churchill’s mother in 1874)
Old Fashioned
Rye whiskey, sugar, angostura bitters and water
(David Embony & Col. James Pepper created this in 1900 at the Pendennis Club in
Louisville)
Sidecar
Brandy, cointreau and lemon juice
(Created by a bartender in Paris for a WWI captain who was apparently driven in a
