Survey Methodology
Michael Page International conducts regular salary surveys based on the day to day activities of our specialist markets and through well-established relationships with our clients and candidates. These surveys aim to offer an accurate and up-to-date snapshot of the current salary levels and are designed to assist the employers as well as the employees in the recruitment and hiring decisions. The following Procurement & Supply Chain survey endorses the views of the Procurement & Supply Chain teams of Michael Page International in Switzerland. This study was achieved through constant interaction and feedback with our candidates and clients. Our client base includes not only all major international corporations based in Switzerland but also smaller, regional organisations. In Switzerland, most of the salaries have a fixed (base) and variable (bonus and other fringe benefits) part. We have observed a wide range of bonuses depending on sector of activity and level of management. The average variable part of salaries is significantly lower in Switzerland than in the EU countries such as Germany and France, but tends to grow. Employees see their base revenue stabilize with the possibility to generate significant bonuses related to numbered targets.
