1 Title Headlamps ECE number Abstract R1&2 This regulation applies to motor vehicle headlamps (categories R2 and/or HS1) which may incorporate lenses of glass or plastic material. This regulation require general specification as headlamp shall be so made to retain their prescribed photometric characteristics and to maintain in good working order in normal use, in spite of vibration. Headlamps shall be fitted with a device enabling them to be so adjusted on the vehicle. The filament lamp holder shall conform to the dimensional characteristics, test, illumination requirement and conformity of production. R3 This regulation applies to retro-reflecting devices used on road vehicles. This regulation requires general specifications is as retro-reflecting devices must be design manufacturer and constructed that their function satisfactory and will continue to do so in normal use. The component must not be easily to dismantled, retro reflecting optical units may not be replaceable. Title Direction Indicators

ECE number Abstract R6 This regulation applies to direction indicators for motor vehicles and their trailers. Direction indicator means a device mounted on a motor vehicle or trailer which, when operated by the driver, signals the letters intention to change the direction in which the vehicle is proceeding. This regulation applies to latches and door retention components such as hinges and other supporting means on side door of vehicles of category M1 and N1 for, or which can be used for , the entry or exit of the components . ECE No. Title number Abstract 11 Behavior of steering R12 This regulation applies to the behavior of the steering mechanism of motor device vehicles of category M1, and vehicle of category N1, with maximum permissible mass less than 1,500 kg, with regard to the protection of the driver in a frontal collision. At a request of a manufacturer, vehicles other than those mentioned above may be approved under this regulation. Title Exhaust Emission

ECE number Abstract R15 This regulation applies to the emission of gaseous pollutants from all positiveignition engine vehicles of category M1 and N1. It does not apply to ignition two stroke engine vehicles, two wheel power driven vehicles, three wheel power driven vehicles whose design whose design speed does not exceed 50 km/h. The secondary scope of this regulation is; the ECE procedure to be applied when the power output of positive ignition engines is to be measured; the consumption of vehicle of category M1 is to be measured. This regulation require general specification as the components liable to affect the emission of gaseous pollutants shall be so designed, constructed and assembled as to enable the vehicle in normal use, despite the vibration. R16 This regulation applies to safety-belts and restraint system which are designed for installation in vehicle of categories M and N are intended for separate use ,i.e. as individual fittings, by persons of adult build occupying forward-facing or reward facing seats. This regulation requires general specifications rigid parts (general, buckle, belt adjusting device, attachments and belt adjustment devices for height, retractors, preloading device), straps (general, strength after room conditioning), belt assembly or restraint system (Dynamic test, strength after abrasion conditioning). It does not apply to head restraint devices which may be fitted to folding seats or seats facing towards the side or towards the rear. It applies to seat backs themselves, when they are so designed as to serve also as head restraints. ECE number Abstract R43 This regulation applies to safety glazing materials intended for installation as windscreens or other panes, or as partitioning, or power driven vehicles and their trailers, to the exclusion, however, of glazing for lighting and light signaling devices and instrument panels, and of special bullet proof glazing. This regulation does not concern the installation of safety glazing materials on power driven vehicles and their trailers or double windows. This regulation requires general specification as all glazing material including glazing material for the manufacturer of windscreens, shall be such that in the event of shattering, the danger of bodily injury is reduced as far as possible. The glazing material shall be sufficiently resists to the indigents likely to occur in normal traffic, and to atmospheric and temperature conditions, chemical action, combustion and abrasion. Safety glazing material shall in addition be sufficiently transparent, shall not cause any noticeable distortions of objects as seen through the windscreen, and shall not give rise to any confusion between the colors used in road traffic signs and signals. Title Battery Electric Vehicles

ECE number Abstract R100 This regulation applies to safety requirements with respect to all battery electric road vehicles of categories M and N with a maximum design speed exceeding 25 km/h. This regulation requires specifications concerning tests such as vehicle construction requirements and function safety requirements, measurement of the insulation resistance using the traction battery and the conformity of the production. R101 This regulation applies to the measurement of the emission of carbon dioxide (Co2) and fuel consumption for M1 category vehicles, or to measurement of the electric energy consumption and range of categories M1 and N1 vehicles. This regulation requires specifications concerning tests such as method of measuring emissions of carbon dioxide and fuel consumption, method of measuring electric energy consumption, method of measuring the range of vehicles powered by an electric power train and the conformity of the production. This regulation applies to vehicles of categories N2, N3, O3 and O4.For section 1: a close coupling device (CCD) This regulation requires specifications and tests such as CCD recovery distance, stability of the combination, circular movement, slopes and the conformity of the production.For section 2 : Vehicles with regard to the fitting of an approved type of CCD This regulation requires requirements concerning the fitting of an approved type of CCD, tests and performance such as CCF recovery distance, stability of combination, circular movement and the conformity of the production. This regulation applies to catalytic converters intended to be fitted on power driven vehicles of categories M1 and N1 as replacement part. This regulation requires requirements such as general requirements, requirements regarding emission, requirements regarding noise and exhaust back-pressure, requirements regarding durability and the conformity of the production.

Title Retro-reflective Marking for Heavy and Long Vehicle

Abstract This regulation applies to the approval of retro-reflective marking used to increase the visibility and recognition for heavy and long vehicles and their trailers. This regulation requires specifications concerning marking dimension, colorimetric specification, photometric specification, test procedure, resistance to external agents (weathering, corrosion, fuels, heat, cleaning, stability of photometric properties, penetration of water) and the conformity of the production. This regulation applies to the construction of base vehicles of motor vehicles of category N and their trailers of categories 02, 03 and 04 which are subject to marginal 10 282 or 11 282 of annex B of the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR), as amended. This regulation requires technical provisions such as electrical equipment, prevention of fire risks, braking, speed limitation and the conformity of the production. This regulation covers new pneumatic tyres designed primarily, but not only, for agricultural and foresty vehicles (power-driven vehicle in category T), agricultural machines (power-driven and trailed) and agricultural trailers, and identified by speed category symbols corresponding to speeds of 65 km/h (speed symbol D) and below. It does not apply to tyre type primarily for other purposes, such as : (a) Construction application (tyres marked Industrial or IND or R4 or F3)(b) Earth-moving equipment(c) Industrial and lift trucks This regulation requires requirements such as tyre dimensions and test procedure such as tyre resistance to bursting, load and speed test and the conformity of the production. This regulation applies to double-deck rigid or articulated vehicles of categories M2 and M3 designed and constructed for the carriage of persons and having a capacity in access of 22 passengers, whether seated or standing, in addition to the driver. At the request of the manufacturer, approval may be granted to vehicles having a capacity of 22 passengers or less if such vehicles comply with the provisions of this regulation. This regulation requires specifications such as load distribution between axles and loading conditions, area available for passengers, number of passengers accommodated, stability test, protection against fire risks, exits, interior arrangements, artificial interior lighting, articulated section of articulated buses or coaches, maneuverability, direction-holding of articulated buses or coaches, hand-rails and hand-holds,guarding of stepwells and exposed seats,luggage racks driver protection,trap doors and conformity of the production.

ECE number Abstract R108 This regulation applies to the production of retreaded tyres intended to be fitted to private (passenger) cars and their trailers used on the road. It does not apply to : Retreaded tyres for commercial vehicles and their trailers. Retreaded tyres with a speed capability below 120 km/h or above 240 km/h Tyres for cycles and motorcycles. Tyres originally produced without speed symbols and load indices. Tyres originally produced without type approval and without either an E or e mark. Tyres designed for the equipment of cars produced prior to 1939. Tyres designed exclusively for competition or off road use and marked accordingly. Tyres designed as T type temporary use spares. This regulation requires requirements such as E-mark approval, second retreaded, condition before treading, preparation, retreading, inspection and performance test. Specifications such as tyre dimensions and test procedure such as tyre resistance to bursting, load and speed test and the conformity of the production. R109 This regulation applies to the production of retreaded tyres intended to be fitted to commercial vehicles and their trailers used on the road .
