Prayer & Praise

Pray that the Lord would heal Jim Baker of all his cancer and other illnesses, and restore the strength of his youth. Please pray that our churchs neighbours would be favourable to having the proposed Child Care operating in our facility Please pray for those left to mourn the loss of their loved ones through the tragedy in Norway. Pray too that the Lord would stem the tide of this kind of violence. Praise the Lord for increased enrolment at the Alliance Biblical Seminary in Brazil. Pray for the seminary as it begins a new semester, August 15. Praise God for what He is doing in the two young churches in the Canary Islands. The newest work, on the island of Tenerife, has experienced steady growth in recent weeks. Pray that those involved in discipleship classes will grow in the Lord. Are you new to this facility? We know that it can take a lot of energy to attend a new church, so please note that:

Thanksgiving at WHAC
Mark August 21st on your calendars, and plan to spend that evening with the WHAC family from 6:00 as we celebrate Gods goodness and faithfulness to us, and your service to him at a Thanksgiving feast featuring food, fun, games, and good fellowship! God is preparing His heroes. When the opportunity comes He can fit them into their places in a moment, and the world will wonder where they came from. Let the Holy Spirit prepare you by all the discipline of life. When the last finishing touch has been given to the marble, it will be easy for God to put it on the pedestal and fit it into its niche. There is a day coming, when, like Othniel (see judges 3:9-11) we too shall judge the nations and rule and reign with Christ on the millennial earth. Before that glorious day can be, we must let God prepare us as He did Othniel at Kirjath-Sepher (Judges 1:11-13) amid the trials of our present life and in the little victories the significance of which, perhaps, we little dream. We may be sure of this, that if the Holy Spirit has an Othniel ready, the Lord of heaven and earth has a throne prepared for him. Is it for me to be used by His grace, Helping His kingdom to bring? Is it for me to inherit a place, E'en on the throne of my King?

Untapped Potential!
When the Jungs first attended WHAC, an early impression of theirs was Wow! They have so many budding musicians here! And judging by the crowds around them Sunday after service, they seem to be right! If you would like to explore music, through instrument or song, feel free join them at the front of the auditorium.
