Project Outline

The Project. At present, the Garadagh Cement production facilities consist of four identical wet kiln lines of BDP 2616 tpd clinker capacity in total, but importing clinker has been necessary to serve the fast growing market and produce 1266000 t of cement in 2006. The Project objective is to capture market growth in Azerbaijan and compliance with Holcim standards by increasing clinker capacity at Garadagh Cement from 2616 tpd (0.86 mio tpa clinker) to 4000 tpd (1.24 mio tpa clinker), leaving the designed cement grinding capacity unchanged. The Project Works described herein relate, on the basis of a Design and Build Contract, the design, engineering, permitting (reference should be made to Part III 2 Scope of Works Part, Annex 3 Permitting Requirements), procurement construction of the Workshop and warehouse Building together with all its associated works, Storage Compounds, External Works and connections to existing drainage systems, utilities, electric, water, gas, telephone and other communication systems and roadways and any remedial works, during the Defects Liability Period, for the:

Form of Contract The Buildings are contracted under turnkey conditions (Contractors Design and Build) and is required to submit with the Tender general arrangements clearly showing the elevations and plan sections of the two buildings, as designed and intended by the Contractor to accommodate the general sizes and rooms indicated on the provisional drawings enclosed with these Tender Documents and to satisfy the Owners and Project Requirements.
