Introduction. The objective of this project is to construct a circuit which converts a triangular wave to sine wave. The device used in this circuit is a transconductance operational amplifier. The number of the OTA is CA3280. The CA3280 is designed to substantially reduce the initial input offset voltage and the offset voltage variation with respect to changes in current. The CA3280 has all the generic characteristics of an operational voltage Amplifier except that the forward transfer characteristics is best described by transconductance rather than voltage gain, and the output is current, not voltage. It is such an amplifier whose differential input voltage produces an output current. Thus it is a voltage controlled current source.

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION The above circuit diagram has been used to design a triangle to sine wave converter. It takes 170mV peak to peak Ac voltage. The frequency of the input wave ranges from 1Hz to 9MHz. The circuit transforms this input

triangular wave to a sine wave of the same frequency. This circuit contains resistors and capacitors; capacitor filters the input signal whereas resistor limits the current. The main function of transforming triangular to sine wave is the OTA.
