Commissioning Manual for Telecom Remote Monitoring System

Customer: VIOM (Phase 1) Ver 1.1 dtd 26Feb2011

Circle team to send the list of sites being planned for I&C, 2 days in advance to the Backend support team. This will help the team to configure the sites in the application. - The mail has to be sent to 'wqts@connectm.com' (The list should include the Site Name, SAP ID, Site Address) Before starting to the site on every day morning, the field team should inform the 'RTU serial number' & the 'Site details' (Site name, SAP ID, Site address) to the Backend support team over the phone. - Phone number of the Backend support team are 080-67127509 / 08067127521 / 080-67127542 / 09243510530 / 09243326979 / 09243326980 Field team to carry their own GPRS enabled mobile phone along with GPRS enabled DOCOMO SIM card to the site for checking the GPRS availability at site. Field team should seek appropriate clarification from backend team for connecting the AC / DC Energy meter incase of any ambiguity before powering ON of the RTU, by calling on the above numbers from the site.

I. Switching ON the RTU:

Important: Do not switch ON the devices unless all the wiring is checked Ensure that all the open wires are terminated properly with insulation tape Wiring is completed as per the wiring diagram & thoroughly checked 48V supply to the ConnectM RTU should be taken from thro a spare MCB in the DCDB or from the same point ,from where DC energy meter/Alarm multiplexer supply is connected. a. Remove all the Input / output connectors b. Check the polarity of the 48V supply and Switch on the RTU - LCD display should come on Note: Reverse the supply connections and check incase LCD display does not come ON c. Communicate the below mentioned details to Back end support team on the above mentioned numbers Site name SAP ID RTU serial number AC Energy meter make AC EM serial No.

No. of AC Energy meters installed at site No. of DC energy meters connected to RTU Make & model of each DC EM BTS loads connected to each channel of the DC EM Availability of the DOCOMO GPRS at the site PIU/ Non-PIU site Rating of the CTs No. of CTs installed at site DC Energy meter make No. of operators EB / Non-EB site

Backend support team will configure the site in TOC application and they will load the latest program into the GPRS module (depending upon the make/model & the No. of AC and DC Energy meters connected to the RTU at site ) & will confirm back to the Field team.

II. Commissioning:
a. Plug in all the RS485 connector one by one to all the AC & DC EM meters while checking the data on the RTU display. b. RTU display should show the respective Energy data from each meter. In case any of the meters data is not displaying on the RTU LCD display, corresponding meters wiring /settings need to be checked. c. If RTU switches off, while connecting any of the RS485 cable to AC or DC EM, it indicates a faulty meter and this needs recorded in the commissioning checklist. d. Ensure that CT wiring and connections are done as below. Note: If CT wiring is not done as below, then Power factor (PF) reading in the meter would show very less (around 0) & energy calculations and energy displays from the meter will become wrong. Whereas the correct value of PF should be around 1

S2: Should be connected to S2 terminal on the AC energy meter

S1: Should be connected to S1 terminal on the AC energy meter

To Mains CB Direction of Cable entry

e. Perform Elmeasure make AC energy meter parameterization as below:

UP

DOWN

To edit value/system type down-wand in edit mode and scroll through the parameters

To scroll pages to look at different parameters

Power ON meter, wait for 5 sec

1. Press UP and DOWN keys together to enter SETUP mode, meter displays in 2nd line Set.CLr and in first line all 4 character displays Zero with first character blinking. 2. Press DOWN key and set first character to 1, press UP key to move next character. Using this method set password as 1000. 3. After entering password press UP key to Enter/Submit password. 4. CLr screen appears, press DOWN key, StAr / ELEn display appears. 5. Press DOWN key 415.0 /P.Pri will display. 6. Press DOWN key 415.0 /P.SEC will display. 7. Press Down key 5.000 /C.Pri will display. Press UP key to modify the CT Primary ratio (e.g., using DOWN Key Set 50.00 / C.Pri, To move next character press UP key, Press UP key to Enter, when 50/5Amp CT is used at site) 8. Press Down key 5.000/ C.SEC will display. 9. Press Down key no/rEU.L will display. 10. Press Down key Arth/UA.SL will display. 11. Press Down key dSbL / d1.Pr will display. 12. Press Down key 3.000 / d.dEL will display. 16.Press Down key9600 / bAUd will display. If it not 9600, press RIGHT key display will blink, change value to 9600 Baud using DOWN key. Then Press UP key to accept. THIS IS BAUD RATE. 16. Press Down key EUEn Pr will display by default. Press RIGHT key display will blink, using UP change to no / Prty. Then press UP key to accept. 17. Press Down key 1.000 / dU.ld will display. If it not 1, press RIGHT key display will blink, change value to 1 using UP/DOWN key. Then Press RIGHT key to accept. THIS IS SLAVE ID. 18. Press Down key - - - - / Pwd will display. 19. Press Down key rESL / EnEr will display. 20. Press Down key SAUE Y will display. Y will blink ,press UP key to save the settings

f. Set the Slave ID on the 1st DC energy meter (either external / built-in) to 6, 2nd DC EM to 7 and so on. g. If it is a PACE or Invendys make DC energy meter, slave ID can be set using the password by entering the password as 232 h. When the load is on EB, Verify that EB energy and EB run hours are updating on the AC energy meter display and also on the RTUs LCD display

i. Switch off the EB supply and when the DG runs & load is on DG, DG energy and DG run hours should be updated on the AC energy meter display and on the RTU display. j. Compare the EB energy and EB meter readings for same energy consumption readings by checking for 30 minutes to 1hour. The acceptable deviation is 0.1 units /Hr. If energy consumption readings are beyond the tolerance then it indicates either wrong installation of the CT or additional loads are connected between EB meter and ConnectM AC EM. The same has to be corrected and recorded in the I&C check list. Communicate all the meter readings to backend team. k. Compare the DG Run hour, DG Energy readings with that DGs Run hour meter & energy meter, if available, for the same Run hour & energy consumption by checking for 30 minutes to 1hour. If Runhour readings are not tallying, it indicates either wrong wiring or faulty DG run hour meter at site. The same has to be corrected and recorded in the I&C check list. Communicate all the meter readings to backend team. l. Check whether all Energy meters data are verified on the RTU display & the same data is shown in the TOC application Note: Field team to carry out the activities at site & provide the necessary details as requested by the backend team while verifying the Energy data (Like switching on/off of the EB/DG, measuring of the currents & voltages etc)
