IMPORTANT NOTICE 1. 2. 3. Please complete the application form in full. You may apply for only ONE full-time or part-time degree or diploma programme. Applicant should not submit more than one application form for this range of qualifications from University of London, examined by the London School of Economics. The programme cannot be changed after application. Local students can make a transfer during the e-course registration (eCR), subject to transfer fees and space availability. After being accepted by the Student Admissions Committee, International students who have confirmed their enrolment and are on students pass CANNOT change/ transfer programmes within this range of UOL qualifications. Applications WITHOUT complete information or supporting documents or application fee will not be considered. Any data with illegible writing will be considered as incomplete information. Photocopies of each academic qualification must be certified by SIM or the registrar of the issuing institution/school/university. For verification at SIM, the original documents must be presented to the Student Recruitment Office, Level 2, SIM Headquarters.

Application for admission to SIM BRIDGING COURSES IN MATHEMATICS / ECONOMICS 2011 INTAKE

In accordance with the 2010 / 2011 Regulations, the University grants automatic exemptions from one or more units to relevant business diploma graduates from the local Polytechnics or SIM University / Singapore Institute of Management. You may refer to the Page 26-29 of the SIM brochure or the UOL website (http://www.londoninternational.ac.uk/current_students/programme_resources/lse/exemptions/index.html) for more details. The bridging course for Mathematics also meets the course requirement in Mathematics for those who do not have a pass (Grade C6 or above) in Mathematics at GCE O Level. If you would like to apply for exemption for 02 Introduction to Economics and/or 05a Mathematics 1 (half unit) or if you wish to satisfy the Mathematics course requirement for admission, do enrol for the bridging course(s). The course fee for each bridging course is S$535 (inclusive of 7% GST). Candidates should take the earliest possible bridging course and follow the deadline for application accordingly. Candidates who fail the exam are not allowed to repeat. Only those who meet the attendance requirement of 75% are permitted to sit for the exam. Once the course has been selected on this form, fees will be incurred should you wish to make changes and when changes are allowed. SIM reserves the right to re-assign students to appropriate classes. No fee will be imposed. Applicants for the Part-time programme who have successfully completed their diploma in 2010 and wish to embark on Term 1 in July 2011 should select the April bridging. This is preferred for a balanced schedule. Those who opt for June classes will commence the BSc degree in Term 2 in Sep, putting all units into Term 2. *The July course is strictly for SIM-Diploma in Management studies students who complete the DMS in June 2011 as part of the 30th DMS intake. IMPORTANT: If you opt out of the bridging course during the application process and apply later, you will have to submit a separate bridging course application form and an additional application fee of S$85.60.
