It is an initiative to empower, enrich and educate the student community through participatory media. So, now that we are done with official jargon. Let me explain: Its active, interactive, student centric, will enhance belonging and bonding like nothing else on campus. We need information and we need entertainment It gives us a platform to express It will cause a radical change in perception about NSIT, enhance its reach from local to global. Campus News, music, masti and lots more done in our very own style! We need a rich environment and life on campus Its just so much fun being RJ on Campus! And because only a handful of organizations can boast of it

1. Custodians Sit up-top and do nothing! Worthless/workless managerial positions. Role is to coordinate between branches, delegate or run errands, responsible for everything wrong and no compliments for anything done right. Any work unspecified yet is your responsibility. P.S. It isnt gonna be rosy! Trust me! 2. Developers Content selection and creation, storyboarding, database handling, coordination with presenters as well as analysts. P.S. Most creative and demanding. The onus lies on you. 3. Analysts/Curators Response tracking, content curation, number crunching, charts etc P.S.Creative use of boring MBA tools 4. Contributors The marketing pests. Buzz creation is your job, everywhere and all the time. Revenue generation for sustainability; publicity, on and off-campus; enhancing user base etc etc. 5. Screamers Spontaneous, smart, good diction and language skills, witty and humorous, engaging. Its not just blabber. <RJs>

What is Radio NSIT

Radio NSIT is essentially a campus radio broadcast It is an experiment in collaborative infotainment. A participatory approach towards enhancing community dynamics. The standpoints being: that of an open development community extending to all stakeholders, staff, students, alumni et al. that of an independent and free content developer and broadcaster that of a content repository of community value. RADIO NSIT is built around a set of consensus-driven, policy directed, communitywide requirements.

How is it done...
Broadcast -Done through low power FM transmitter internet radio stream. -Access it through radio receivers on your mobile devices, car stereos, internet capable devices, computers, smartphones, anywhere anytime! Its Glocal folks! Content Quality content served to the junta in hindi/english or hinglish. Bindaas, tasteful live and prerecorded programs in tune with the rhythm of the campus. Interactive Comment, criticize, request, just blabber on air, whatever it is! You can call, chat, SMS, email, blog or even send snail mail. Were always available. Quality It will be a constant endeavor to ensure that tasteful quality content of interest is served.To ensure this, an active content curation and quality assurance team in place in conjunction with audience participation and response will be put in place.

Straight talk If it is on Radio NSIT 1.must be -fun, infotaining, practical 2.can be -cultural, technical, musical, social, political,....controversial. 3.should be -dynamic, prolific, synergistic, journalistic and fantastic! 4.had best be -interesting, challenging, engaging, entertaining ... enlightening maybe ;)

The Near Future

The autumn semester of 2010 at NSIT is going to be a vantage point for our illustrious institution with the kickoff of this radical dream. The immediate impact that we seek to achieve through this endeavor - is to bring the entire population of students currently studying in NSIT under its fold. - catch the nerve of our audience on and off campus. - get active participants on board - garner support and participation from our very able alumni. - become the mainstay of campus infotainment needs - band together with currently active student bodies on campus - play a pro-active role during college fests - establish a participative culture, enhance networking and social activism through engagement in live community pursuit that it promises to be. - a playground to explore beyond the classrooms and laboratories. - fine tune the technology and organizational structure to create a legacy for the future crop while ensuring that it stays true to its mission.

The (Not So) Far Future

It is even more exciting than it promises on this brochure. Trust me! We do not intend to jut have some fun outside classroom with a high tech engineers toy. While it fulfills serious objectives as referenced to earlier, we do not wish to rest just here! We already have a road map in mind that we believe will further cement the distinguished and august character that we have envisioned for this organization. Snippets from our vision: -establish a full fledged amateur radio club with licensed HAM radio operators and hand built analogue equipment. -eventually create a self sustainable model for the organization to take care of upgradation and daily running needs -fledge its wings to establish a media house of repute. Integrate all media needs on campus and bring them in the purview of the organization. -retain and strengthen the democratic and student centric approach as its foundation. The future here is exciting. Be a part of it! ACT NOW!

Are excited about positions mentioned on page 2 Are willing to work dedicatedly to build an infant organization. Are willing to walk the extra mile for the endeavor. Still have queries, doubts?
