The Arts & Sciences III Collection comprises outstanding journals in the arts and humanities, with titles in language and

literature, music, film studies, folklore, performing arts, religion, art, and architecture. The scope of this collection is broadened by interdisciplinary journals in folklore and feminist & womens studies. Composed of 151 titles, the collection includes important scholarship serving as the foundation of some of JSTORs core disciplines.

H I G H L I G H T S

The Arts & Sciences III Collection includes a salient group of language and literature journals, with non-US scholarship in English, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, German, and Arabic. The collection contains PMLA, the journal of the Modern Language Association of America, first published in 1884. Prominent journals span centuries of literature, including Contemporary Literature, Twentieth Century Literature, and Studies in English Literature, 1500-1900. A notable group of journals in language education gives further depth to this discipline. The collection contains exceptional scholarship in art and architecture, with over 40 titles spanning a wide range of concentrations. Important titles include The Burlington Magazine, published for over 100 years, and the Journal of the Warburg and Courtauld Institutes. Also noteworthy are the Art Journal, The Art Bulletin, and a number of publications from prominent museums such as the Smithsonian Institution and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The study of architecture is well represented in this collection, with principal titles such as Architectural History and the Journal of the Society of Architectural Historians. With the largest group of music titles in any Arts & Sciences collection, this collection offers outstanding coverage of music theory, music history, and ethnomusicology. Notable titles in this discipline include the Journal of the Royal Musical Association, Musical Quarterly, and The Musical Times, the oldest continuously published music journal in the world, founded in 1844. The collection also features publications from musical societies around the world, such as the Socit Franaise de Musicologie and the Royal Society for Music History of the Netherlands. The collection contains a strong group of religion journals with long back runs, including four journals in publication for over a century. Important titles include the Jewish Quarterly Review, established in 1889, and the Journal of Biblical Literature, published since 1881. Journals in this discipline include diverse scholarship on the history and philosophy of religious thought in all traditions and periods. Other key titles include the Journal of the American Academy of Religion, the Harvard Theological Review, and the Journal of Religion.

Forward Linking From a sidebar on article view pages, users can link to articles in JSTOR or Google Scholar that cite the current article, and to related articles in Google Scholar. links to recent content For a growing subset of titles, users are able to search and browse beyond the moving wall, retrieving links to the full-text of the most recent journal issues at the publishers website. Searching on A&I Databases JSTOR has partnered with several abstract and indexing databases to provide article-level linking to JSTOR for participating institutions.
