RULES and CONDITIONS

AGE is taken as at 26th September 2011. Proof of age may be asked for. ENTRIES - Send All Entries to Address on Front Cover. All entries must be accompanied with appropriate fees paid by cheque or money order. Please order your programme with entries. TROUPE AGE is AVERAGE AGE. Add up ages of all competitors & divide by number of competitors. If age is over .5 then you must dance up an age. NO DANCER IS PERMITTED TO DANCE MORE THAN ONE AGE GROUP BELOW THEIR AGE (ie. no 14/u dancers in 10/u, no 15/o in 12/u etc) TROUPES will be split into smaller group sections or larger group sections (ie 14 or less competitors or 15 or more competitors) should the need arise due to a large number of competitors. If sections are averaged out to be similar in troupe size, then the sections will simply be split into A & B Sections. All competitors enter and perform at their own risk. No responsibility will be accepted for accidents, injury or loss of property. This eisteddfod is open to amateurs. That is those whose main source of income is not that of a performer/dance teacher. NO SMOKING anywhere on school premises including school hall. All adjudicators decisions are final. At no time is anyone to approach the adjudicator either during competition or during breaks. A sound system is provided. Please ensure that all music is prepared and ready to start. Please ensure all tapes and CDs are clearly marked. No responsibility will be taken for poor quality recordings or damaged tapes/CDs etc. We suggest all studios bring a backup tape and/or CD. Time limits must be adhered to. Please ensure all troupes are entered into correct sections. No dancing outside of your section will be allowed. No distraction or prompting from side stage or audience whilst competitors are performing (babies 5/u excepted from this rule). Prompting could lead to disqualification. The Committee reserves the right to alter the program where necessary. The use of private video or digital recordings is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Please adhere to copyright laws and The Child Protection Laws. An official Video Operator will be available on the day. NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY PERMITTED IN HALL. No more than 2 teachers from each studio will be allowed free admission. Protests will only be accepted in writing accompanied by a $10.00 fee within 5 minutes of the completion & adjudication of any section. This fee is forfeited should the protest be dismissed. Vocals ARE ACCEPTED in ALL Tap Routines NO use of any pre-recorded vocals is to be used in ANY Song & Dance entries. Should it be required, larger sections in any category will be split in half on the day & judged separately. At the Committees discretion some sections may be combined if insufficient entries and if this is not deemed appropriate reserve the right to cancel the section and refunded. If less than 4 entries in any section is received and cannot be practically combined, full refunds will be offered. Other than for this reason, No refunds will be given after entries have been accepted and programme printed . Food & Refreshments will be available throughout the entire eisteddfod.
