Some learnings, comments, connections... *I was absent, but I will try to come up with something.* One of our TOK essay titles is When should we discard explanations that are intuitively appealing? I believe this has a lot of relation to our topic right now in CLE. A lot of claims are appealing to our own beliefs and intuitions, though they may be wrong. For example in religion, Catholicism has no evidence whatsoever. Nevertheless many people still believe in it probably because of the stories and the Bible. Sometimes, even if facts are present, I think that intuitive belief still bests those facts even though our beliefs may be different or even contradict the facts. Which is why we sometimes have to discard some of our own beliefs and rely on the facts and evidences present.
