Some parents may hesitate to have their kids vaccinated because they're
worried that the children will have serious reactions or may get the illness the
vaccine is supposed to prevent. Because the components of vaccines are
weakened or killed” and in some cases, only parts of the microorganism are
used” they're unlikely to cause any serious illness. Some vaccines may cause
mild reactions, such as soreness where the shot was given or fever, but serious
reactions are rare.
Immunization Schedule
REACTION:
Yes I agree on this article that the baby must be fully immunized, even if they
have an antibody that serves as their protection against such disease it is only
temporary, so the baby must have all kind of vaccination for them to become
fully immunized baby. This vaccine will kill or weakened the microorganism that
causes the particular disease. Vaccines stimulate the immune system to react
as if there were a real infection” it fends off the "infection" and remembers the
organism so that it can fight it quickly should it enter the body later. So it is
very important for a baby to have an immunization it will help the baby to
become healthy and it will serve as protection from the future invader or
foreign object as they grow. Recommended Vaccinations: Hepatitis B
Pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) , DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus, acellular
pertussis) , Hib (meningitis) , IPV (polio) , Influenza , MMR (measles, mumps,
rubella) ,Varicella (chickenpox) , MCV4 (bacterial meningitis) , Hepatitis A for
them to be called as fully immunized baby.

PROGRESS NOTES
SUMMARY:
We started our duty with a morning prayer held near the chapel in SMC by the
lead of Mr. Cabunoc. After the morning circle a short orientation followed then
each one of as provide a photocopy related to our concept and discussion all
about immunology. Mr. Galo is the one who is assigned for the photocopy to be
used so we wait for him, At 9:30 after we received the photocopy we
immediately deported from the school to our designated area in the Health
center in Suaybaguio, we divided our groups, some are assigned to get the
patents VS while the other are conducting Leopold’s maneuver. When 11:30 am
arrived 4 members remain in the health center for vital signs taking for all the
patients that will be arrive. So others deployed their pair groups to find some
patient to be interview. When the time all of us are finished in our entire task so
we take our lunch and when back at 1:00pm to have our research, when
3:10pm passed we went to our respective houses safely and soundly.
REFLECTION:
On this day I feel relaxed, maybe this concept is our rest day from all our
hospital duty, even thought it is very far and very hot to find a client for me it is
very enjoy. While I am assessing my client I felt pity for her because she is a
blue baby have a small whole in her heart and it is a caution to her to get tired.
And we know the nature of a toddler they are very active and alert while
playing. So all I can do is to pray for her to have more blessings to come in her
life. God bless us always.
PROGRESS NOTES
SUMMARY:
We started our 2nd day of duty with a morning prayer together with the group
A2. After the morning circle we immediately deported our selves to our
designated area in Prk. Suaybaguio health center. Upon arriving we
immediately prepare our paraphernalia to use in getting the VS of the patients.
We assisted the community health care nurse in performing their prenatal
procedure. This day is a prenatal day so many parents and pregnant mother
arrived for the weakly check-up. So all we do is to scale their weight, check
their VS and transcribed it. When 11:30 am arrived after we finished all our
tasks we take our lunch break and be back at 1:00pm for the lecture headed by
Mam Lesley. After the lecture about immunization we proceed to the library to
have a research and at 3:00pm we went to our respective houses safely and
soundly.
REFLECTION:
This day is somewhat opposite for yesterdays duty, today is a prenatal day so
many mother went to the health center to have their weakly check-up, so we
are slightly busy unlike yesterday’s activities. In this day also I got many tips
from Mam Lesley’s sharing of experiences in her past board examination. This
day is very inspiring days for me hoped someday I will become a registered
nurse for the fulfillment of my dreams, God bless us always.
