Key Priorities Immediate


1) Countries in the Pacific, needs to be segregated into 3 groupings which recognises the different level of developments and which would indicate the level and type of assistance required for the Agriculture industry The 3 Groupings are: a) Group X Fiji, PNG, Samoa, Solomon Is, Tonga, Vanuatu, b) Group Y Cook Is, Kiribati, Niue, Tuvalu, Nauru c) Group Z FSM, RMI, Palau 2) Regional Market Access exploring regional opportunities for exports to other Pacific Island Countries Obtain consent from members countries on the groupings recommended Should members require validation of the groupings recommended, FAO assistance is to be sought.
