We may have our Left Tackle Scoop on plays. In that event we will simply name the play and tell the
the LT or RT to scoop. It will depend on the where teh FB is going and who he is blocking.

Play Calling Cues
Cross:
This only applies to Guards and tackles. If the cue "cross"
is called it means the linemen on the playside cross block.
Guard will pull back and out and Tackle will block down.
SE RT LG C LG LT TE
QB W4
HB
FB
Left:
Left tells the "Left Guard" to pull to the hole called. It also
tells the back field runners who are not getting the ball they
are base running left. This also tells teh left tackle to block
'Man Over'

FB Left 22 Trap
Right:
Right tells the "Right Guard" to pull to the same hole as
the play is called. If no one there for the kick out follow into
hole looking for first wrong color jersey.

Sweep:
On "Sweep" call the (TE) blocks the defender on his
outside shoulder. The FB blocks whoever is covering the
TE for a pass. Usually Sam.

Play Calling Cues
Speed:
On Speed plays the LT pulls and blocks the furthest
outside defender on the field but goes behind the DE to do
it. The HB "load" blocks the DE. The Backside cuts off
B pursuit useing ITB or (REACH) rule.

with the backside pulling guard blocking inside for a
linebacker once he passes thought the holeand the QB

FB Left 36 Toss
Counter:
FB steps with misdirection step and a head fake to teh
opposite direction of the play call and tehn cuts back the
other way and either takes the handoff or blocks the
weakside DE. The HB runs pitch route way from hole
called. Example is a Base 23 Counter.

Mini:
Guard and Tackle close down to "0" inch splits. Used when
opponents are prone to blitzing A and B gaps and against
"gap" defense. We will also use in our 'Wedge' series.

Maxi:
Guard and Tackle expand to 2 feet gaps. We use against
defenses that play head-up on the OL. this also opens up
the 3 and 4 holes for better trapping angles and for our 33
and 34 'Quick' plays.

option he is to throw to. Quarterback always have his own option 0 if every looks covered.
Option 0 is to run to the FB blocking side. See complimentary play Trips Wide 28 Screen.

Coaches Note:
The play relies on simply speed. We will run this out of the Trips Wide after we have run the base Trip
Wide. When FS and Corners play off of eligible receivers. Most teams call this a Rocket Sweep.
Same play.
