Carbon Monoxide & Nitrogen Dioxide BACnet Transmitters for Parking Garages

BST series BACnet transmitters are rugged, user-friendly, configurable digital transmitter gas detectors for use in non-hazardous (non-explosion rated) environments for commercial HVAC and light industrial use. Sensors available include ammonia (NH3), combustibles, chlorine (Cl2), carbon monoxide (CO), ethylene (C2H4), formaldehyde (CH2O), hydrogen (H2), hydrogen sulphide (H2S), nitric oxide (NO), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), oxygen (O2), ozone (O3), sulphur dioxide (SO2), and refrigerants R11, R12, R22, R134A, and R507. BST transmitters provide a digital BACnet signal output and will communicate with other true BACnet devices. A standard transmitter provides a tri-colour LED indicating light for power, fault condition, alarm (option with one dry contact relay), digital output signal, RoSH compliant circuit boards, optional LED digital display, and other enclosure options. Calibration and maintenance procedures are simple and are easily performed in the field.

Provide BST series BACnet transmitters, capable of being connected directly to a BACnet building automation system. The transmitter shall be capable of communicating via BACnet MS / TP protocol with a BACnet controller / head end. Provide transmitters for the Nitrogen Dioxide detection range of 0 - 10 ppm and transmitters for the Carbon Monoxide detection range of 0 - 200 ppm. The transmitters shall be a CETCI model BST-ECO for Carbon Monoxide and a model BST-END for Nitrogen Dioxide. All transmitters shall incorporate accurate electrochemical sensors and automatic resetting thermal fuse for fault protection. The transmitters shall be installed 4 - 6 ft from the floor (breathing zone) and each unit shall be capable of monitoring an area of approximately 5,000 - 7,500 ft2 each. The transmitter circuit shall be housed in a wall mount, rugged, break resistant, corrosion resistant, PVC junction box with a secured, hinged door. The transmitter shall operate on 24 VDC or 24 VAC (nominal) input voltages. The PVC junction box shall have conduit entry ports on the top, bottom, right side and rear. An optional watertight Polycarbonate enclosure shall be available. Digital display and relay output shall be available options. Wiring shall be 2 conductor 16 gauge for low voltage power, and a 18 gauge two wire low capacitance shielded twisted pair for the communication bus. System operation shall be as follows: Upon detection of 0.7 ppm NO2 or 25 ppm CO, the BACnet controller shall activate exhaust fans. Upon detection of 1.5 ppm NO2 or 100 ppm CO, the BACnet controller shall activate higher ventilation level and audible / visual alarms. The contractor shall provide all required wiring, conduit and interconnection required for a successful installation. More specification samples are available at www.criticalenvironment.com.
