Arriving at Destination
A man was using his trusty GPS (global positioning system) to navigate himself through some unfamiliar territory. He was making surprisingly good time; with each look at his ETA (estimated time of arrival), he had gained at least a minute or two! Unfortunately, he was navigated to a dead end road. The last words spoken by that GPS were, arriving at destination where no destination could be found. How frustrating it was to make great time in getting to the wrong place! Somewhere between the configuration of his GPS and his current trip, someone had apparently dropped the ball. Arriving at destination when no destination is in sight! r elig ion , c h ur ch m em b er s h i p, baptism, or a good life will help them arrive at their final destination of Heaven. Unfortunately, such teaching will navigate us to a dead end road. How frustrating to adhere to church dogma and come up short of your desired destination. The Bible is the roadmap that teaches us how to get to our desired destination Heaven. The Bible instructs us that the death, burial, and resurrection is where people find salvation. It is by faith in the shed and applied blood of Jesus Christ that sinners find forgiveness of sin.

Your relationship to Jesus Christ is central to the answer to that question.

We are, by nature, sinners who stand guilty and condemned before our Creator and Judge. In our thoughts and actions, we have disobeyed His perfect standards. We are sinners (Romans 3:10, 23). We are helpless to save ourselves. Forgiveness is a gift to be received, not a reward that can be earned. We need a Saviour (Ephesians 2:8-9). Because of His love for us, God provided salvation through His Son, Jesus. He became a member of the human family, lived without sin, and died on the cross to pay for our sins. Jesus is the Saviour (Romans 5:8; John 3:16). Salvation is an individual matter and requires a personal response on the part of anyone that wants to be saved. All who acknowledge their sin and place their trust in Christ are adopted as Gods children (Romans 10:9, 13).
