Materials: Write here the list of materials you must remember to bring on the day of the lesson. Warm-up Describe the task that SS will perform in order to warm-up for the lesson Get SS to work in pairs or groups. Then, have them report the results of their task to the class. Reading or Listening Step 1: Pre-Task Work Timing

Either have SS look at the artwork for some seconds, then close books and ask SS to recall the picture or have SS cover the text and work in pairs to describe the picture in detail.

List the relevant points / details you will ask SS to focus on when they describe the artwork. Step 2: First Reading or Listening Ask SS to read or listen Describe what you will tell students to focus on the first time they read or listen.

Ask SS to compare their results in pairs or groups. Then, check as a whole class. Step 2: Second Reading or Listening Pre-teaching some language might be necessary in case terms are not selfexplanatory through content. Write here any language that definitely interferes with comprehension. Tell SS to read or listen again. Tell them to focus on the following: o Define here the comprehension task you will ask SS to do the second time they read/listen. Ask SS to work in pairs or groups to do the task. Check SS' results as a whole class.

Step 4: Listen and Read - New Expressions Ask SS to listen and read (If it is a listening text, they can look at the transcript at this point) Tell SS to notice any new expressions. Ask SS to work with a partner to predict the possible meaning of the unknown expressions (using contextual clues) List the expressions that SS might not understand and write possible techniques to explain them clearly.
